Another Sickie

Dorian woke up with a fever and runny nose yesterday and just seems to really not be feeling good. :( It's weird cause it seems like he's too sick for it to be just a cold, and not sick enough for it to be the flu. I'm sure it's just some random virus, but it seems weird that he has a fever with what seems to be a cold. His temp has been 101-102 and he's been really tired - he fell asleep on the couch at 11:30 yesterday and slept for about an hour (he doesn't nap), and then fell asleep on the couch again at 5:45 and slept till about 3am (I'd put his jammies on and moved him to his bed). At that point he got in bed with me, tossed and turned for a bit, went back to his bed, got up again to go potty, and then started to throw up. I got him to the toilet but he just kind of gagged and spit a little. He hadn't eaten in over 12 hours, so I think there was just nothing there. He tends to get queasy with a fever, so I don't think it's really a stomach thing. Then he went back to sleep till 7:15. He seems to be feeling okish right now, he's eating the oatmeal he asked for, but the last dose of tylenol should be wearing off soon so we'll see. Ugh, I hate when my kids are sick and I don't know how to make them feel better. :(

So he seemed to be feeling quite a bit better yesterday, then early this morning he had a fever again after almost 24 hrs fever free. :dunno He also was coughing and it sounded like there was some thick crud in there, so I set up the humidifier, but he ended up back in my bed so it didn't really help lol. Now he seems pretty much ok, I just don't get it. And now I seem to have it, but without the fever. Runny nose, sore throat and cough. I don't feel too horrible, but I have a job interview this afternoon and would really rather I didn't appear sick. :rolleyes

Mathias is been sick since Sunday with cold and cough and now dh is sick and I am keeping my fingers:fingerscrossed that I don't get whatever that is!

I feel like crap, but the interview went well. I'm going back tomorrow to work in the classroom for a little bit so they can see how I interact with the kids. :fingerscrossed
