Where's Wee three located?

On W. College in the G&G shopping center.

Kind of off topic but while you're at Wee Three (if it is before 2 pm), go have lunch at Page's Diner. They have the best burgers! And great breakfasts too.

Ok Maribel kidnapped me and we went down to Wer Three. It was so much fun!

I even got a bonus becuase both Myah's shoes were on sale (she needed some so baddly) and i also was able to get a really nice Mody wrap on sale too. I hadn't planned on getting the Mody wrap until after the baby came but with the sale i was jsut able to afford the fancy one with the gift money my freind gave me. I'm so excited to try it on with "speedbump"

WOOHOO becky! I went there today, too, and got a few toys for the kiddos.. That's where I got my Moby about 2 days before Lukey was born, too ;)

do you recall the price of the mobys Becky? Perhaps I'll have to get another one if I can get Kellie to model hers after church tommorrow ;)

Kellie_MO5
02-03-2007, 08:17 PM
If ya want you can try it on with Elias ;) When I bought mine it was $36... I got the plain, basic one.. they also had another with uv protection or something, and then others that were mid 40's to mid 50's with a pretty oriental fabric on the middle panel... If you want one, though, you should go to Mothering (if you aren't already a member there you can see if from my computer, cus you have to be there a certain time to see the trading post) but the mamas there sell theirs sometimes for a lot less than new....

My3sonsplus1
02-03-2007, 08:29 PM
yeah I traded mine for way too cheap. 2 mother ease diapers a cover and some liners. I figured with the 25% off it might have been cheaper to get new rather than used. I don't want to pay full price for something I just sold :bag

Kellie_MO5
02-03-2007, 08:34 PM
Wow, that was a really good trade for the other person...LOL... and yeah, I had already forgotten about the sale...lol... I also got a motherease diaper cover for $3... I really just love going there and looking around

My3sonsplus1
02-03-2007, 08:39 PM
I am such a flipping weiny when it comes to stuff like trades :bag. New they wren't even equal, but her stuff was even used and mine was tried twice, blech. Good news is I don't spend time at diaperswappers anymore.

My3sonsplus1
02-03-2007, 08:40 PM
did you get an airflow or a rikki?

Kellie_MO5
02-03-2007, 08:47 PM
it's a md airflow... and that was $3 before the sale % was taken off...hehe

My3sonsplus1
02-03-2007, 08:56 PM
very cool for you! does Lukey fit in a medium? It is up to 20 pounds... or is it a m/l? If you love it and want to spend a bit more for more of them, well lemme know :).

Kellie_MO5
02-03-2007, 09:10 PM
it seems to fit okay... It's alright, though I think I like front closures better...

My3sonsplus1
02-03-2007, 09:19 PM
eh' maybe it'll grow on ya. I swear my airflows do.not.leak, even over night. My bummis tend to leak right on through but the air flowing through the airflows (who woulda guessed) keeps em dry enough...

Kellie_MO5
02-04-2007, 09:33 AM
lol... once you get used to it it's very easy to do.. it takes me about 60 seconds to get it on how I like it, and I just put it on before we go anywhere (it IS long, and I hate the idea of it dragging on the dirty ground outside while getting on)

those look great! kail is too heavy for me to carry him in the front pack, it hurts my shoulders......how much was it on sale for at wee three?

becky
02-04-2007, 01:45 PM
I think the sale ended yesterday but for the regular ones i'm pretty sure maribel paid around 30 bucks. I dot the fancy ones which was about 45 bucksCHeck out the website and wearing instructions. Its really cool.
http://mobywrap.com/instructions.php

Julian (maribel's boy) just turned 9 months and she had no problem wearing him. That was enough to make me buy a woby wrap yesterday :)

colleen: I have a hotsling that you are welcome to try him in too. you'er about the same size as me so it would fit. You can borrow it till he outgrows it or i have a baby, which ever comes first. LOL

LMS
02-04-2007, 01:48 PM
btw, mine is 2 sided. brown on one side and a brown/pinkish hawaiian type print on the other. I can take a pic if you want to see it. I cant find it on their site anymore

LMS
02-04-2007, 01:51 PM
ooh, they just added how to wear them on yu rback. I woner if B would go for that...

becky
02-04-2007, 01:52 PM
we almost got one of those too. I just love the fabrics on the hotslings. i didnt get one though cuz it cost too much and i thought for a heavier baby I wouldnt get as long of use out of it. I still might get one though cuz the fabrics were jsut so awesome and lindsay said they are great for newborns.

LMS
02-04-2007, 01:58 PM
I actually didn't get mine until brendan was almost 4 months old, so i can't say one way or another for newborns, but it worked REALLY well for toting him around places (AIRPORTS!) when he was younger. Now that i see the back carry, i'm almost positive I could still wear him in the one i have.

becky
02-04-2007, 02:01 PM
that is so cool. I'm afraid i'm going to become addicted to carriers with this baby now that i know there are so many different choices out there. I personally blame Lindsay for this one becuase she is the baby carrier queen. Once the baby comes i'm going to have to try out the hotsling :)

colleen&Kail
02-04-2007, 02:04 PM
yeah jackie i would love to borrow it if you dont mind, is a hotsling like the wrap thing?

LMS
02-04-2007, 02:06 PM
yeha, i love slings. I've tried so many, but i hated the ring slings. too 'difficult' for me to do quickly. I think that's why I stuck with the hotsling, it was easy, no wrapping etc. But I get frustrated with them when they don't fit *right* each time. With this one it's sewn shut so it fits the same way everytime. I think if i had more patience, i'd like a lot of other kinds of carriers.
For anyone who likes the warp carriers but doesn't want to spend a ton of money, I know a WAHM who makes them.

LMS
02-04-2007, 02:06 PM
colleen: It's sort of like a wrap... it's a pouch carrier

ok so this one you can only wear one way? i get it............jackie if b doesnt like it when you try to make him sit in it on your back then i would love to borrow it for awhile! i just would like to try it out before i buy one.

colleen&Kail
02-04-2007, 02:36 PM
hah i just looked at their website and it is so funny that they show the guy with the striped sling..............i couldnt see neil ever doing that. LOL he wont even carry the diaper bag becasue he siad it looks like a purse.

LMS
02-04-2007, 02:38 PM
you can actually wear them a lot of ways in the HS, but a few of them you can't use after a certain age.
Brendan won't wear a hotsling (but can't anyways b/c he'd need a way bigger size than me) but he DOES wear our snugli.... well, did... now he just lets him walk everywhere

My3sonsplus1
02-04-2007, 03:39 PM
Jackie, I'd like your info. for the WAHM wrap maker.

The lady at the store said you can carry a baby up to 35 lbs on the moby wrap.

KaisaG
02-04-2007, 11:14 PM
OK so I have a Hotsling that I borrowed from a friend and I tried on my SILs Moby tonight and for a bigger guy like my little fatty I'd say that Moby is the way to go. It distributes their weight better than the hotsling. I will probably go buy a Moby soon.

LMS
02-04-2007, 11:26 PM
yeah, plus i've heard mobys just FEEL more secure with bigger kids. like, you don't have that "hmm, will they fall?" feeling in the back of your mind.
