We just got back from the girls first dentist appointment this morning!
She was uber excited to be going to the dentist....untilllllll.....she had to be in 'the chair' :lol
When you walk in the office you are greeted by a very friendly staff, and there are great toys....the girl gravitated straight to the barbies and the dollhouse.
She found 2 books and we read those together....then she got called back to her visit.
She got quite nervous and kept askign for me to hold her :(
it was at that point the dentist asked if she wanted bubble gum, or cookie dough flavored tooth polish and she chose cookie dough :giggle
they could tell she was nervous and allowed to her sit up rather than lay down and watch the movie (which they have a little movie library up front and before the kid goes to the chair they pick out a movie to watch during the visit from their chair)
sitting up....the dentist counted her fingers with her....which made her comfortable...then she asked her what happened to her finger with the bandaid on it....and he she got such pretty curly hair :tongue
all these in a soft sweet voice really engaging and comforting to the girl :hug
at this point the girl was able to lay down for her exam and cleaning!
She did GREAT! She really made me proud :love
No cavities :banana
