Anyone ever done it before? I have heard that is addictive!!!....I am going to try it on Tuesday after work (with some girls from work) and I was wondering if anyone here ever done it? I know that the room get super hot (107ºF) and that you have to drink lots of water during the 90min class. I like the idea of sweating and getting rid of toxins in your body;)
The drop in class is $16 and if you don't have a yoga mat you can rent one for $1 (just make sure you put a towel on it)

Haven't done it but sounds like a great way to detox your body and gain a lot of flexibility...can't wait to hear how it goes.

There's a studio up on the Blvd for bikram. I'd love to go when I'm in better shape. For now I'm jiggling to that Tracy Anderson stuff. lol

I know a couple people who do Bikram and really like it. I do regular yoga. The thought of being in a hot room with a bunch of people barefoot and sweaty just grosses me out.

i have done it once at that studio. i loved it. once you get through the discomfort of how hot you are it's very soothing. you really focus and get into this zone. my recommendations:
bring multiple dry towels for yourself if you don't like the idea of feeling your sweat drip. i know on my face that drives me crazy. and dont underestimate it. you will sweat like you never have before.
plan on showering there afterwards. my friends and i figured, oh we'll just go home and shower. our clothes were literally drenched and so we drove home in our bras and underwear. lol. seriously.
the place has a real funky smell from all the sweating bodies, so just be prepared.
and wear as little as you possibly can. like sports bra and small shorts. you may feel self concious at first, but you'll be thankful for it after, trust me!!

i am not joking. you should just do it. your coworkers wont be thinking "man she didn't wear much" they'll be thinking that they should have done the same. lol.

I've done "regular" yoga for about 10 years now and tried Bikram a couple of times. The heat really helps you focus because it is too difficult without having something to hone in on to block out the hot. But for me it was boring because it is the same 20 poses every class and they are all standing poses. Again, I think this is to help you focus on every pose but I need more variety to my yoga practice to keep me going.

Well, I am not going to attend the class tomorrow, AF is visiting and I am not in the mood for that. But I was thinking if someone would like to try it with me later?....Stacey, Erin, anyone???
