I just watched the pilot today.
It made me teary eyed in some areas of the show.

Me too! I miss Rory and Lorelei! I've only caught one episode of Perenthood so far, I still have one DVR'd to watch.

I really like it. It is so much better than the movie. Being the parent of an a child with autism, I find some of the details of that story line unrealistic (mostly the school stuff) but I really like all of the actors.

I like it too. Thanks for the Gilmore Girls reference. I had the feeling she was a popular actress but I am not familiar with her. I liked Peter Krause from Six Feet Under though.

The show has a bit of a Brothers and Sisters feel to it, the other show I watch, but I like that it focuses more on raising the kiddos.

OK, so I watched my first episode last night, which was actually episode 2 since that was as far back as on demand went...anyways.... very funny! and relevant to my life it seems, in some ways anyways. I really wish I lived that close to so many of my relatives but at the same time see the impact that even that can make good or bad...

But of course my sisters and brothers are not nearly as good looking, well off, educated or funny..... accept for me of course, :giggle

If you have Comcast it is free On Demand. Just go to Chanel one, TV Series, then Parenthood. It is one of my favorite shows on TV right now.

YES! I love Gilmore Girls too! I have almost the full series on DVD. Lauren Graham is why I started watching ParentHood also. At first I was a little worried that she is being type casted...but it doesn't seem so anymore.

ParentHood is such a GREAT show, but I'm like 2 or 3 (after tonight?) weeks behind since we watch our shows online now and I haven't had a lot of "TV" time recently.

Sounds like I better get caught up though, huh?? :tongue
