I have a friend who lives about 45 min from Nashville and she says it's absolutely crazy out there. The flooding is almost as bad as Katrina, yet there's been almost no national coverage. Her parents and brother work for a hotel by the Grand Ol' Opry and they say it will probably be closed till December. Her husband works for Pepsi and nobody can get there because all the roads are under water. The plant has also been without water. She is fortunately not by a river so her home is ok, but the roads to the stores are closed. It's really crazy that it can be this bad and not be getting much media coverage!

Wow! I hadn't heard! So much bad stuff is going on down there right now. Has it been raining like mad? What was causing the flooding?

Sorry--didn't look at the video. Yikes!

I guess the rain stopped but the rivers are all flooded and levees broke. Not sure of all the details. I know another friend in AR was having tornadoes the other night and said they were headed to TN.

My friend lives in Millington which is where the levees are. She said that she's not usually afraid of tornadoes as they get them a lot this time of year but that they spent saturday or sunday night (can't remember which) hanging out in the bathtub with all of their emergency supplies. She's lucky enough to live in one of the few neighborhoods that's not flooded but she sent me pictures of streets near them and it's horrible. Shockingly eough her and her husband's work have expected them there this week! There was a picture of her moms house with the water all the way up to the top of their fence :(
