My mom asked me this morning that she wants to start working on a photo slide show for my brother and have it set to music. I have never made one of these before so I am not sure where to begin. This is something she wants to put together for the funeral when that time comes.
Anyone ever make one? Are there any programs you would recommend?

Yup my mom is trying to get ready. She is already a basket case. There is no way we can't predict how much time he has since he is already a walking time bomb she wants to at least get it started. She could not have done this back in Sept and she says he is looking really bad now.

You need to have all the photos in one place first. Have you started scanning all the pre-digital photos?

yup we are scanning them now and she is bring even more up in a few weeks. I even asked my step mom to scan the album my brother's ex made for my dad a few years ago that cover a gap we don't have much in. I am tempted to buy a program to make the slide show that I can burn to a CD later but I wanted to double check to see what other options there are out there first

FYI - I paid someone around $200 to do a photo slide show with all my mom's photos. It was a bday present for her. The lady scanned and organized all the photos and used my mom's favorite songs.

I've used the Windows Movie Maker for work to do a slide show for trade shows, it's pretty user friendly, comes standard on most computers and you can do music. Sorry to hear you're needing it for this reason...
