I have a co-worker that who has a daughter that is heavily involved in 4H. As part of that, they raise pigs organically each year for the fair. After the fair they sell them... she asked if I know anyone that is interested, so I thought I'd check here because I think it's come up before. If anyone (or two... maybe you could split it?) are interested let me know and I can put you in touch with her.

Thanks.

Sell the meat or the pig?

It'd be the whole sha-bang... That's why I thought it might be better if a couple of people could get together and split it.

Would it come butchered or would we have to do that? I don't think I could kill and gut a pig.

I am 99% sure they have services for that and that 4H would know who could do it for you :).

It's part of the "service." You basically pay an additional "kill charge" for the butcher who does all of that for you. All you'd come home with are packages.

How much would a pig run?
