For those of you who don't know, I was a geography teacher in my pre-mommy life. I love cultural geography and maps! I am planning a wallpaper project with maps but need more. If you have any maps you aren't using and wouldn't mind parting with, I would greatly appreciate them. Thanks!

I am not sure what kind of maps you are looking for exactly but have you though about picking some up at AAA?

Heather I love that idea! I would like to see your project when is done! I love geography and maps too. We actually have 3 maps pictures in our room and Mathias has a big one in his too, I just need to hang it back on his room wall, though :)

I am hoping more for National Geographic type maps or maps people actually picked up in other places. The AAA maps are not as interesting, IMO.

I'll have you over when it is done, hopefully sometime this summer! Do you have any South American or European maps?

I believe that some thrift stores carry maps and used magazines for sale. I am not sure which ones though. I heard the one near Mendocino/Lewis in Santa Rosa.

You can also check craigslist.

I was actually going to say that I might have some from NG since we had a suscription. I just need to go in the shed and look for the magazines:tongue

I would love to see it when is done! I have some from South America, and a map of Peru, plus maps of each Peruvian departments/states that my dad put together in a file for when Mathias is older:giggle:D

The thrift store next to Safeway in Rohnert Park had a bunch of old maps last time I was in...(last week) I can check again next time I go for you Heather. I try to stop in once a week before I do my grocery shopping...I usually walk out with at least one treasure :thumb

Oo, thanks Stacey! That's a whole bunch of magazines. I asked if they still have the maps. We'll see.
