That is what ui was finding too....the reason why I got the iPad instead. 15 a month is much easier.

:yeah. But I get a great corporate discount so I pay $75 or so and I get a partial expense reimbursement from work . It's less than we had been paying for our family plan. (Scott is on a company plan now which made this possible)

We have 3 phones on our monthly plan, one is my iPhone. We have 550 rollover minutes with unlimited nights/weekends and unlimited mobile to mobile, 200 texts on hubby's phone, 1500 on my phone, plus my data plan, and pay around $125 a month. That's with a 15% military discount.

My BB just died, so I'm going to get an iPhone. I priced it around $100 a month for unlimited messaging, the 2GB of data, 450 anytime minutes (that rollover), early nights and weekends, and phone insurance.

Since I have to buy the phone brand new now (rather than being able to wait for upgrade time or something), and I didn't want to pay the full price, I'm getting off my parents plan and going separate so that I can get the discount price that comes with a new contract. My mom may switch one of their phones onto it, so there will be 2 family plans, each with 2 phones, because with sharing minutes and what my portion of the plan will be, it may be cheaper. But we'll see. So the pricing above is on a totally new and separate plan.

ETA: I ended up getting a Samsung Captivate (which runs on Android) which is what I REALLY wanted. I only was going to opt for the iPhone because I had read a couple of consumer reviews that said there was no spell check and no C&P. When I went into the store (Cellular World by Walmart in Windsor) the guy showed me it DOES C&P and when you use swype, it does check your spelling. So I got that instead of the iPhone. Not that I doubted it, but I did also like knowing that all 3 of the guys in the store have one/are waiting for theirs to arrive in the mail. I got the last one in stock. I'm not sure what our plan will work out to monthly yet, though. I let my mom set that up since the account is in my dad's name not mine (for credit purposes). Plus it'd be different anyway since we're doing the family plan versus a solo.

I think we pay $85 a month for mine. We swing it by using it as our house phone too, DH's work pays for his and we use lots of mobile to mobile minutes with out of town family. When the new version came out they released less expensive plans which I thought were as low as $30 a month, it's worth checking. What a nice friend!

We have 2 iPhones. Unlimited data and texts. Approx. 1400 shared anytime, unlimited nights/weekends/mobile to mobile. Our bill is $160/month. We don't have any house phone, don't have cable, and pay only $30/month for home internet access.
