Whoa, I totally spaced on this. Tonight is Shrek. Not sure if we're going to make it...dunno, we might. However, I just thought I'd mention in case you want to take the kiddos.

If you're worried about parking, PM me and you can use our parking space.

We are going to Sacramento tonight :( My daughter LOVES Shrek, Charming (or German as she calls him), and Fiona - she asks me to watch it over and over again.

It will be I think. Back when dh played adding this on top of the already impossible parking was annoying. So try and get out a bit early in case you have to circle or park at the street.

My PMC mother's group will be there tomorrow. Where do they "show" the movie? Do kids run around the playground during the movie?

I wish we could go to this....but the girl goes down for bed between 7:30/8:00 she would *never* last through a movie that starts so late....plus she'd be a crab apple the next day if she was allowed to stay out so late....and we have a bday party the next day and after said party her darlingggg auntie is watching her for the rest of the day/evening while mommy and daddy work....and I don't think she'd appreciate grouchy pants mcgee :giggle

They set up the movie at the far end of the green, near the swings. Yes, there are kids that run around and play, but usually most are pretty caught up in watching the movie. They have a pretty decent sized 'sheet' screen.

Just curious, for those of you that went, how did this go? Did the wee ones make it thru the movie? I'd love to try this out w/ my 2 1/2 year old.

I think it depends on the kiddo and the movie. When we went the 1st time, we saw Shrek which Dominick had never seen before and he was riveted. This past time with Nemo he got bored halfway through probably because we've seen it a number of times before, y'know?

There were a lot of people coming and going...it's worth a shot, pretty fun family thing to do! :)

Scott and I are going to see a silent film version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame at a church in Petaluma, for extra credit for one of his classes. I can't wait!!! They better freaking have popcorn at this! :D
