View Full Version : Interested in a Walking Group?

I am always up for walking. I already walk a few times a week, but I can always walk more.
A few mommies on here have expressed some interest in getting together for walking.
I am wondering if anyone would like to attempt a walk this Friday, so long as it is not raining, over at Howarth Park (in Santa Rosa). Meet in the top parking lot near the lake and boat ramp, look for the trailhead.
The walk is a 3.7 mile walk...don't be scared! It really is a nice walk, and we can stop for breaks (I always seem to need to to Bfeed Mav anyway). It takes about 1.5-2 hours to walk the whole thing. Of course we can do only part if need be too.
What times would work best to meet? 11am, 12noon, 1pm, other suggestions?

ooh, now THAT I would like to walk with the kids.... for us the earlier the better ;)

I could go as early as 9am. Would that work for you Kellie? I love taking Maverick there. He loves to look at everything!

Sounds like fun. However, Patty is in school that morning and Tyler and I are doing a drop in music class that morning, so we are not available.

that sounds like a lot of fun but kail has my gym form 11:45-12:30, i would really like to go though! maybe if we go earlier or later.

Colleen - I think I am going to take Jenna to the gym class this Friday. My Gym right? Maybe I will see you there.

Cool! Mav and I will be there Jeep Stroller and all (though he may end up inthe frontpack as he has liked that better lately anyway...hehe). See you at 9am.

lol... crap, forgot about that... was thinking the meeting was tomorrow..... hmmm... I think I may back out of walking fri and go to the meeting w/you... I think i'll talk matt into walking with me sat morning.... Sorry girls!!!

No Worries. A few moms from our Kaiser walking group are also walking at Howarth Park tomorrow (thursday) at 11am. If you would like to come...

I like the walking idea! Unfortunately, I had a major "freak accident" last Thursday and ended up in the ER. I didn't break my toe, but they had to remove a HUGE splinter and take a bunch of skin away so I'm walking in a boot cast. :(
Once I'm better, 9:00 or earlier works for us on M or Th, sometimes F.

okay cool, it will be alot of fun! how old is your little one again? i take kail to the waddlers class as well. (it is the next age group starting at 8 months.)

Colleen - Jenna is almost 5 months. Do they do the same stuff in the Waddlers class? Seems to be that they would be a WHOLE LOT more mobile in that class.

I would love to make it, but there is no way I can be up there by 9 I live in Petaluma. I love to walk around the lake though so definitely next time. I have Monday's & Friday's off.

No Problem...I think I'm going to actually post over in the playdates next time too. Duh. Looks beautiful outside right now...I hope this weather stays like this so we can walk a lot more here in the future.
