Am I cheap? LOL. I went to Tony & Guy today and they charge FIFTY TWO DOLLARS as a starting price for a trim. I was in shock. And if you get someone "higher up" on their totem pole (more experience, or a manager, etc) it can be up to 130$ for a trim! I thought it was nuts!
Now i'm in search of a moderatly inexpensive place that I can get a trim.. and not to be closed minded, but i'd prefer a place where not everyone has spikey purple hair, if possible ;) I'd like to go to a nice calm salon without the music blaring, where i can just go and enjoy myself and have a good stylist who you can chit chat with. I miss my girl back home, lol

Any recommendations?

Don't know of anywhere out here. My mom is a hairdresser but she is at a salon in Greenbrae in Marin. 52 is infact pretty common around here for cuts. My mom cuts and colors mine for me, I am not sure what she charges but if your interested she works at Beauty World in Greenbrae, her name is Janice.

Hey Jackie,
I work in a salon in Rohnert Park and we only charge $14 for a haircut and we have a lot of great experienced stylists there. Let me know if you're interested we also do little ones.

I love my stylist. Been seeing her for alomst 5 years now. My mom and a bunch of other friends see her too. For shampoo, cut and style/dry it's $45... even if it's just a trim. But it's a small salon... 3 hair stylists, 1 esthetician and 1 manicurist. Nice and quiet. If you want her info let me know. She's in Santa Rosa.

You know that show on Bravo called Blow Out that is supposed to be a reality show based on a high priced stylist in Beverly Hills? I was watching it the other day to see what it was about and they said he personally was booked for the next 4 months and charged like $450!! That is crazy!
