View Full Version : Stomach looks like an old man's butt!!!

I don't know about any of you, but I got stretchmarks like MAD when I was preggers! I was HUGE! And stretchmarks run in the family. My stomach is now getting back to the original (or at least close to it) size, but because of all the stretchmarks I have what looks like a wrinkley old man's butt....not the latest playboy edition if you know what I mean.
Does anyone have any suggestions for reducing the scaring of the stretchmarks that doesn't cost too much money? Or is there anything even out there? I use Palmers tightening lotion, and vit E oil....is there anything else?
I'm not too upset about it, I feel it is a badge of honor really....but sometimes when I remember back (hear distant music as a flashback begins).... when I was young(er) and was able to wear the bikini, and the mid-drift tops....(harsh end to music, back to reality).... I just think it might be nice to have a bikini belly...or something like one, again some day.
I am planning on having at least one more baby....pretty soon too...so I guess I probably wont get anything really taken care of by this summer, or maybe I could....but for sure I want to try after the second.
Anyone feel me on this? Anyone have any idea?

i was actually thinking about my stretch marks today and noticed two new ones above my belly button that Shelsea gave to me. up until now i have been lucky to have only marks that i could hide below my belly button but now that is out. i don't know what to tell you. I want to know that answer to that question too.

you are so lucky anna...did you use any special lotions while pregnant or did you get blessed with good genes?

no special lotions... stayed active, drank a butt-load of water and lotioned up every day! I use Bath & Body Works. Must be in the genes :thumb

my issue isn't so much stretch marks, those fade with time for the most part but excess skin, and that isn't going anywhere ;)

Yep, I have that too. I think thats what makes it look worse.

I would guess a tummy tuck when you are all done with kids is the only sure fire way...

I actually thought about that....even though I am not a huge fan of it. I realized that to get rid of all of them (stretchmarks) I would have to lose my bellybutton....I have a ton even above the bellybutton...so I'm not sure what I would think about that. I kinda like my bellybutton. ;)

I only have a few, very light ones on my boobs... Other than that I didn't get any either. I didn't use creams, oils, or anything and was really bad about drinking water (I don't really care for it). My sister has a TON though... and she plans to get a tummy tuck when she is done. You'll still have that scar though... I personally don't think it's that great a trade off... but like I said I don't really have any either.
Anyway, there is a product that is supposed to work wonders on stretchmarks and wrinkles. It's called strivectin. It is a little pricey, but I know Costco was selling it in 2-packs for awhile for about 1/2 the price that you can get it online. I don't know if they are still carrying it though.

maybe i should clarify...i didnt get any with Kayla, got a few with Myah and well Shelsea just added the few i had with Myah but gave me two really nice ones above my belly button. I think that was mostly because she was so much bigger than her sisters. I guess with each kid my chances of remaining stretch mark free was gone.

I figure with each pregnancy it will get worse. Oh well. I just seem to have them all over my stomach and my hips, thighs, butt, boobs... I guess I'm just on the unlucky end of spectrum. Oh well. I wouldn't trade my baby boy for anything though!

I hear you Lorah!
I got stretch marks up the wazoo on my belly!
And because she was so big, I have this extra skin hanging, that wasn't there before I got preggo's.
IMO this is TMI, but you know the body suite Robin Williams wore in Mrs. Doubtfire? My tummy looks like that, only not as big. Atleast I can see my privates.
It has shrunk some since she was born, but it's still there.
I figure there will be less to stretch for the next kid.
I guess I will have to resort to sit-ups, which I hate doing.
Walking seems to help.

Have you seen the show on TLC (I think that is the channel, might be Discovery Health) about the mom that had twins and then had quads? Because her stomach was so stretched when she was preggo with the quads, she had to wear what looked like girdle all the time. She showed what her tummy looked like and I think she said they called it the bulldog. It did look amazingly like a wrinkly bulldog! My mom said they did another show on the family and a plastic surgeon donated his services for her to get a tummy tuck and I think he did some other work for her too.

Cool that someone offered her their services.

Umm... I'm in the same boat. It's wierd. Natalie was born 9/21/06 And I've lost most of the weight. But my tummy is nothing like to should be. Not nice at all.
