So are you going to watch? DVR it? Do you think it is just stupid?

I remember when Fergi and Diane got married but both of those were such huge busts that it is almost kind of annoying. And really who wants to be a princess anymore? All that work, when being rich seems to be enough these days.

Meh, I think it is interesting and doesn't happen very often and I hope at least one member of that family ends up happy but I dunno if I will watch it. I might click on pics if I see a link pop up on CNN.com :dunno

I won't watch, but I'll look at pictures. I only want to see her dress/hair/makeup, really.

People who get married are people who are getting married to me. We are all human blah blah blah. I don't know them so I don't care. Didn't even know the date was approaching/here. Just because the groom emerged from a princess loins (lol) doesn't make him any more special to me... is she "famous" or "just" a rags (or not so rags) to riches happened to be in the same coffee shop when the mister stopped by chance encounter?

At our weekly family dinner my parents and uncle both said they were going to get up at 1am to watch. My in-laws are driving half an hour away from their home to a British pub to watch. If I had a DVR I'd tape it. Otherwise I'm with Lynette and Laura, I get my news from online sources most of the time and I'm really just looking for the hair/dress/makeup.

I think I am going to DVR...mostly because I want to see clothes, hair, make-up, etc. And if anyone does anything dumb. :) But I would not want to be her. Too much pressure and scrutiny.

:yeah That and just the general splendor, but I'm sure that will be covered in pictures, too. And pictures take FAR less time to look at!

I'll probably dvr it just to watch bits but I'm definitely NOT going to be up at 2AM to see the live coverage.

I find it interesting. I remember watching Diana as a kid and thinking, "WOW....

I wonder if Brianna will enjoy all the POMP and CIRCUMSTANCE bc she and Billy are REALLY into weddings and "getting married. If it is on, I might click on it just to see her expression.

I think Kate (Katherine) is a classy dame and this one will last...... don't quote me on that.

I might watch it if I am still up. I always find the lives of the royal families interesting maybe because we don't have too much insight on it...... or maybe I read too many "the prince rescues the princess" books when I was little :)

I'll DVR it. I love England and everything about being British, so will want to watch this too. I agree with Jen that I think this one may last, I like both Will and Kate. And I loved Princess Di... though I didn't watch her wedding but did watch her funeral.

I'm going to DVR it and watch clips of it here and there. I, too, remember watching Diana getting married when I was a little girl and I was so in love with her dress... I really just want to see the dress and some funky hats lol :)

Ok silly as it is I would totally drive to a pub and watch it if I could.
I totally remember watching Di's wedding with my mom. I wish things were different at the moment and her and I could do that this time.

I'm going to DVR and watch it. I love weddings and totally remember watching Princess Diana's wedding!Every one who knows me knows I am still up at that time so its not really going out of my way to watch :lol I do plan on DVRing it though so I can get some sleep but I am sure I will fall asleep to the tv on :tongue

I totally remember watching Diana's wedding and then going to the same chapel she was married in when I was 17. It was all so surreal. I don't follow the royal family but for what ever reason I am looking forward to seeing this one. I think its because this is Princess Diana's son getting married :)

I would totally watch it live if I could. We don't have TV and I kinda think that the online viewing will be a frustrating, buffering mess. I love that kind of stuff. Guess I'll catch a recap.

Super early Friday morning.

Guests start arriving at Westminster Abbey (3:15 a.m. ET; 8:15 a.m. in London) to the start of a private reception at Buckingham Palace (1 p.m. ET; 6 p.m. in London).

But if you really want to catch just the really, really "big" moments, here's some guidance:

— Around 5:45 a.m. ET: Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip arrive at Westminster.

— Around 6 a.m. ET: Kate Middleton arrives; it should be the first glimpse we get of her dress.

— 6 a.m. to around 7 a.m. ET: The ceremony.

— Around 7:15 a.m. ET: The newlyweds leave Westminster. Will rain prevent them from riding in an open carriage?

— Around 8:25 a.m. ET: Prince William and Kate appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for their traditional "first kiss."

so NOT interested . . . find it a bit amusing that they even cover it at all on major newstations - more than just reporting that it happened . . .

yah that and I am about to block a couple FB friends over there CONSTANT wedding chatter…gag me with a fork! ha:lol Luckily of the almost 600 friends i have on FB no one is crazy over the Royal Wedding which is kinda shocking but honestly I could do without the constant chatter

I started to watch it on the BBC but didn't stay up to watching it. Recorded both the CNN and BBC coverage and so far the BBC did a far better job cutting out the non-sense. I figure since I have a ton of wedding photos to edit today I will keep the Royal Wedding on in the background for the shear entertainment of it :tongue

I watched clips online. Catherine arriving and then the vows, and then the kiss. Her dress was very pretty. I like that she wore her hair down but at the same time felt it was very plain. Makeup was nothing to write home about, but I didn't expect that it would be. She seemed very nervous during the ceremony.

I saw about 2 seconds of it while I was getting dressed this morning, I'm totally not into it. BUT this picture cracked me up!!! WTH is the swirly tan thing attached to her forehead, it can't even be called a hat?!

Alaina and I watched a cnn video that had snipets of it cut and pasted together because anything princess related is interesting to her and I have to say, I thought it was pretty cute that William has that same kind modest demeanor and mannerisms that his mom did and he looked happy.

Dude you just made me cry, because I was thinking about the same thing about her and him being similar. Like she was there even though she was not.

I agree Lynnette!

I saw the wedding too! I love her dress and all the hats;)...Her dress reminded me to Grace Kelly's. She is beautiful and he is very handsome....-Did I ever mention that I have a crush on him?:bag:tongue

I got to see the Royal Kiss live, but not the wedding. I watched that later today from DVR. I thought it was so cute that she did seem nervous, which seems so real! And, so did he. I loved when they were getting in the carriage and watching his jaw clenching like crazy knowing these THOUSANDS of people are all standing around watching them! I thought she was so beautiful, very elegant. She just seems so normal, which I really like.

I didn't intend to watch it but ended up staying up since I was already watching "Casino."

I enjoyed the "stamp in history" and will remember their "day" when I am older, like I did Diana's wedding.

The royal couple seemed to make the event all their own with a touch of elegance and a celebration that including the "people."

I stayed up until 4, so I missed some parts, but boy did I PAY for it yesterday. I went to bed at 8 after a FULL day of errands with the family.

Oh and Seasyn, I hope you didn't block me...hee..hee

Very Grace Kelly dress. Some of the hats were hilarious. Check out Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. They look like space aliens- poor girls.
