I think this site is neat so you can see your house from above: http://www.zillow.com/ The prices aren't extremely accurate I don't think. I clicked on my house to see it closer up and was a little surprised the picture is so current, it shows the picket fence after it was painted white which was just a few months ago, I guess I thought they wouldn't update the pics?

That site is great! You can actually go in and see how much people paid for their houses. They have a little tax record thing on the right hand side that you have to put a code in to see. It is a little slow at updating but it has been accurate for everything I looked up.

i loooooooooooooove zillow. i'm on it all the time :bag but we are really into real estate, so that's probably why. lol

for a chuckle, check out my parents house that i lived in from 6th grade till marriage. We built it.
2 stories with full basement and half attic. Attic has storage space and fully finished stained glass studio. upper floor has 2 full bedrooms both with wak in closets and 1 full bathroom (2 rooms.. one has toilet shower one has double vanity). First floor has huge living room, large custom kitchen, laundry room, huge master bedroom, large master bath with extended double vanity, 2 walk in closets, shower stall and jacuzzi tub. Basement has 2 finished rooms. One was a bedroom, one had a tanning bed in it. Plus a large unfinished area with lots of shelves for storage and canning supplies. 2 car garage. Brand new addition of an indoor inground pool with fiber optic lighting. Water pipes weave under cement floor to keep floor hot during winter. Walls are 90% glass, and 10% tile, vaulted ceiling with sunlights, and huge fans to keep air circulating for steam. Mini bar, hot tub and wood burning fireplace. Comes on I think like 4 acres.

I love zillow too! I was on there yesterday trying to figure out what the appraiser is going to say about our house. If you click on the house you can get the views from north, south, east and west. Ours isn't as up to date, we moved in a year ago and the pic shows the red bark in front that was one of the first things to go.

ooooh... that's cool. My husband and I can't deside if we are going to add on or move to a bigger house. This site looks like a great tool for us to use.

OMG you couldn't even buy a double wide trailer for that much here.

Hmmm not very accurate - it says my inlaws house is worth $50k more than ours and that SO isn't true. LOL It is 1000x nicer than ours and has a pool etc. But still fun to look around!

Yeah, the zestimates aren't 100% accurate. Land is so expensive around here and it doesn't take into consideration lot size.
