One of my FB friends posted this last night and said she went to go see this experiment last summer and it was awesome. Currently the location in northern MN (http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_parks/soudan_underground_mine/index.html) is closed due to a fire but its expected to open again this next summer provided the funding for clean up comes through.
I will admit that for the most part physics goes completely over my head and the reason why I am not an architect right now but the ideas behind it all I do find fascinating.
