I just have to write about the experience I had yesterday at the Roxy.
Chad really wanted to go see Redtails and after talking about it so much Amelia decide she wanted to go to....recipe for disaster totally......opportunity for them to learn (chad mostly :cool ) sure. So I head over to pick them up after work and we go over for the 4:30 showing. We get settled right when it starts and even though this is a PG-13 movie I know from reviews that there is no nudityor sex and not even a lot of cussing or anything...the main thing is the airplanes blowing each other up. So the first part of the movie Amelia spends hiding her head in and out of my arm. So before the second round of dogfights I take her ot the bathroom, then we go play some games, sneak into a couple of other movies that she does not want to watch either, back to the bathroom...etc.
Finally I decide to just go to the car and wait there. I ask the girl behind the counter if I can come back in with my ticket to get said hubby and she said, "you are not going to stay for the movie?" I said" my husband is but we are going to the car." She said, " you want your money back?" I said, "sure!" :thumb
Talks to the manager and he comes back saying that he can not give us our money back but would we like some free passes to another movie? I said awesome that would be great. So he gives us two adult tickets to any theatre they on at anytime free, even 3D and no expiration date!
I thought that was really nice! Especially since it was not the movie or there fault we left . We took a four year old to a movie about World War II dogfights.....we should have seen it coming (for the record I did, but somebody did not listen to me,;) ).
