View Full Version : Planet Earth
Anyone watch the beginning of the series last night? It is a 11 part mini-series on Discovery channel and is really neat. It took them 5 years to get the footage, some of it took months just to get a few snippets of rare animals. The cinimatography is beautiful, I wish I had HD because it would be so neat. Really incredible show, so catch it if you see it on!

Which one did they play first? I watched 3 of them last night!
I think they were Deep Blue (ocean one), Pole to Pole and Mountain.... SO beautiful.
Those are the first 3, next sunday will be 2 more. I want to buy them on DVD now.

I know even Baby Eman was watching the Deep Blue one... He probably liked the bright blue solors and those long worms that grew up to 10ft? Crazy. I want them too!!

just reading you guys describe this show really makes me want to check it out. Are they going to be selling this on DVD and do you know how much?

I saw both of them last night.
I just think it's funny how the penguin male has to carry the egg for 4 months and carry the little penguin after it hatches, until the mom comes back.
Yet here in human world us women have to carry the babies for 9 months.
I would love to see my hubby carry a baby. Now that would be funny!
Oh and then the camel, the males pose to attract passing females. That was kind of funny. Looked like the male was going to go poo-poo. Now if my hubby were to do that, I would think he was sick! ha ha ha!
For those of you with "On Demand" the shows are under discovery.
I hope they put them on DVD. That will be something I would like to get.

goes to show you dont have to be female to have a baby. Penguins and sea horses have the males to it all :lol I just wonder how scientist go about determining that it is a male who is having the babies instead of just saying its a female KWIM?
