Salina is doing a project in her tech arts class on animal shelters (she volunteers at the one in RP) and she is specifically looking for pictures of happy owners with their pets that they have rescued/adopted from shelters. Do you have any she could use or could she come take your or your kids picture with your pets? It really won't take but a few minutes :)
Thanks in advance!

Yup! Do you have some that you would like to send me? :) She is basically putting together like a slide show Power Point type thing and if it isn't too huge I might be able to send a copy or do a hidden link on my website when it is done.

No pets here but what a cool project. How does she like helping out down there? The girls are thinking about doing the summer daycamp thing this year.

My BIL and SIL adopted a dog rescued from Hurricane Katrina and they are one happy family now (well, they're not too happy when he eats their brownies, but for the most part it's working out well!). I'll ask if they will send a picture.

That would be cool especially since that was pretty recent so her classmates would be familiar with that :)
Colleen- actually she was thinking of hanging out at a dog park and seeing if anyone there has any adoptees if she didn't collect enough from people we know :D
Karen- she likes it but then she is happy cleaning up after the animals too which is pretty much all they let kids do. The adults can come and just hang out and play with the animals but the kids have to clean first and play with animals after all the cleaning is done. She doesn't mind though but of course doesn't have that same attitude about her room though ;)
Anyone with a pic just pm me and I will send you my email address! Thanks!

We adopted our dog Hot Rod from the RP shelter in 98. She just got a bath and cut today so she is nice and pretty. Will try to find or take some pics of her and Lucca tomorrow since my kid is being a grumpy turd right now.

Lisa-if you don't find your card reader thing let me know and i can get that image for you.
Lynette-what a wonderful project for Salina. I have been thinking about her a lot lately as i drive by the horses by my house. It seems they may be sick or something. Just about every time I drive by one of them is lying down on the ground. I just think of how Salina would likely have gone over and knocked on the door of the owners by now. Good luck on her project.

Lynette I can also send you pictures of my persian cat (kiki)I adopted him in 2004 (at the Solano county animal care in Fairfield) and he was my baby until Julian was born. My brothers have been catsitting him for 11 months now and I dont think I'm getting him back since they're so in love with him I feel bad to take kiki away from them. Although I get to see him everytime I go visit my family, I know he's in very good hands :)

Thanks. My DH wasn't that fond of pets or the idea of getting a dog so I gave in to a stupid name like Hot Rod. Uno is all white and has one brown spot on his back. We didn't name him, but I assume that is why. Or possibly cause he only has 1 brain cell. Quite possibly the dumbest dog on the planet.
