I would like to order Wristbands (like the livestrong ones) that say SONOMACOUNTYMOM.COM
it will be partially a fundraiser for SCM and partially just something fun to have for your family. Plus you can wear them to a playdate to help find people you are meeting up with! :)
They will also be a great conversation starter to help people find SCM.
I would have to order 100 of them, and they will cost $5 per bracelet (plus $1 shipping for every 4).
ALL profits go straight to the board (which will go towards hosting fees, contest prizes, donations, dinner divas, etc)
but because I have to order 100 as a minimum, I am going to start taking pre-orders.
Please respond to this thread saying how many bracelets you would want and include an email address that I can send a paypal invoice to.
If you need to pay by check, that's fine, just tell me how many you want (here in the thread please) and PM me for my address. All checks MUST be made out to me. All SCM funds are in our paypal account currently so I can't cash checks made out to SCM. PLEASE remember this or it will seriously delay the order.
I'll be taking preorders through May 1st.
eta: they will deffinatly be either blue, orange or green to go with the site

btw, if we can get enough $$ to order 250 of them (not a whole lot more $$) we can get this kind where the letters are a different color. That doesn't mean we need to have 250 preorders (although that would ROCK) but we need enough to cover costs (including what we already have in our acct from registrations) of 250... then we can have them for playdates, etc... new members and the like

bumping this up.
this is a great opportunity for a fundraiser.
Just to give everyone a feel for how much money SCM brings in.. we average 1 paid senior membership every 3 weeks.. that's not much to run on :(
Fundraisers like this will allow us to do other "extras"
I want to get those postit notes everyone was asking for, as well as plan our summer bbq, but we'll have a hard time doing that without funds.

Jackie, Are they going to be either green, orange or blue, or is there going to be a mix of them? ( Ijust really don't like orange that much...lol) I'd get one if they're one of the other 2 colors, though...

well, we could do a mix of 2 colors (meaning each bracelet would be both colors... it would fade from say blue to green and back to blue) but those are MUCH more $$, so i think maybe for the first set we'll stick with one color.
Right now, I think the green or blue is looking best - for a few reasons. 1.) orange goes with very little, 2.) some people just don't wear orange, 3.)the orange they carry isn't quite "our orange" so it kind of defeats the purpose of using that color, imo atleast. kwim?
SO, I can post the two colors and we can hold a vote :)
Unfortunatly we can't order an assortment of colors (unless we decide to order 100 of one color and 100 of another) but in that case, we'll have to get A LOT of preorders to be able to afford it.

(the colors shown on the bracelets are NOT colors from the company we are ordering from. they were shown in purple and red and I edited them to make them colors that are more "our colors". The colors listed on the color chart may vary slightly based on monitor calibration and room light when viewing)

Now that you mention the site selling the kids sized ones, I am remembering the adult sized ones are too big for me, so I wear a kid size anyway :lol So I lean more towards the one where you can get both sized since I know there are moms who are smaller than me. Plus like Kellie and Anna have said kids love bracelets :)

I'm going to look and see if there would be a significant difference in price with this new place (where there are no minimums) to get 50 blue and 50 green... but if it's too much of a hop, we may have to wait until we order more later.

Bear in mind, the more that people purchase, the more money the site makes... for instance, we only have 5 childrens bracelets ordered right now... at the rate they charge per wristband for that quanitity, they actually cost MORE than $5 each, so we will be losing money on those if we don't have more people sign up.
