Well, last night we had homemade pizza for dinner. I got the pizza dough from Trader Joe's and roasted a couple of heads of garlic (you don't want to be standing within 10 feet of me, I'm sure :lol ) and it turned out pretty well. Tonight, if the chicken is defrosted, we're having pecan crusted chicken. Pretty easy to do, always turns out moist and a much healthier option than the usual kind of chicken strips, as these are baked instead of fried.
Here is a link to the chicken recipe. One thing I do change, because I do not like super spicy food, is I don't do all of the chicken with Essence. I do about half and half, as Caden and Scott do like super spicy. :)

Yummy! Pizza! That sounds so good right now.
Not sure of the Garlic though. ;)
Do you mind me asking, how much was the dough at Trader's?

Hmm, I don't remember how much the dough was... but I want to say not more than two or three dollars. The garlic was really good roasted. The house still smells like garlic though.

the lump of dough at Traders use to be right about 99 cents but it may have gone up to about 1 something....it shouldnt be too high though....
The other premade crusts are more of course.

that sounds like something fun the kids can do one night, make their own pizza...

I am still trying to figure out how to roll out dough, but yeah it is super fun and we can make a healthy meal on the cheapo if we make a big salad and use the pizza as a side dish. It really takes 2 tj's doughs though I think to fill us big families. we always do 1 but then we get little slivers, and like I said the sauce makes up two pizzas anyhow...
oh oh tj's moms club pizza party!

Looks like I will have to go check out TJ's.
It's been awhile.

The trick to that dough is to let it sit out on the counter for about 20 minutes. The gluten in it needs to be able to work its magic and it needs to be a little warmer to do that.
Also, don't use flour, unless you just love it, but use corn meal instead....it is yummy too.
You guys are so funny with the TJ's stuff... I worked there for just over a year when I was finishing up my credential and stuff....I know a ton about it, so if you want to know something, ask.....if I know the answer I'll let you know...
We shop there for our groceries every week...so I can probably tell you what kinds of stuff they have too.... We get a bunch of cool, nothing added, items from there.

I find with dough that even when the gluten is relaxed, it won't roll. I work it out with my hands. Kind of a modified pizza toss :)
