Luckylove 04-29-2007, 10:39 AM At home, the track, spring lake, etc. I LOVE the fact that it is FREE!!! :tongue Sorry, I know it wasn't the purpose of your question but I couldn't resist! My3sonsplus1 04-29-2007, 10:51 AM does my living room count? Juls318 04-29-2007, 11:01 AM Baby Boot Camp and walking with my friend at least once a week. I like Boot Camp because it is a good workout and since I pay for it, I will do it, although I do wish it was a little less expensive. Madeline also likes to watch Mommy do the exercises. I like walking which is my favorite form of exercise because it is free. This summer I plan on taking up Yoga through the JC and swimming laps at Finely. Lorah 04-29-2007, 11:18 AM I walk..and I walk...and I walk...pretty much anywhere....Howarth, Spring Lake, SR Creek, Seb. My neighborhood.... Stacey 04-29-2007, 11:22 AM I go to 21st Century Fitness in Windsor. I like it. They've got good classes, although I'd like to see them add a kickboxing one. The machines are pretty good - they've just updated a bunch of them. There's almost always enough of the eliptical machines. I would like to have access to a sauna/steam room/jacuzi/pool though... oh well. JuliaSannar 04-29-2007, 12:29 PM Baby Boot Camp rocks..... walk/jog a lot out doors..... used to work out at Montecito....but I just don't fit in there! lol Lynette 04-29-2007, 12:52 PM Hey Michelle, Have you checked out the RP city gym by Spreckles? They have a hot tub, sauna, weights, elipiticals, treadmills, and not to many people who all gawk at each other or prance around. I can't remember how much it was a month but it wasn't bad at all. jellybeanmichelle 04-29-2007, 01:13 PM Hey Michelle, Have you checked out the RP city gym by Spreckles? They have a hot tub, sauna, weights, elipiticals, treadmills, and not to many people who all gawk at each other or prance around. I can't remember how much it was a month but it wasn't bad at all. It's been like more than 10 years. I used to do gymnastics there in high school as a PE class. I so wanted to go in the hot tub in the women's room, but the women would get in there naked. Not for me! Use a suit please! We go to University of Sports. They have great kid activites. Now that V is over 18 months, she gets to go play with other kids on the soccer field during certain hours. They also have a childcare room and you pay like $2 per hour. I just wish they had a pool. The ladies locker room is nice. They have a class called Mommy Campus on Monday mornings that I want to try. I think it's geared towards pre-natal, post-partum. I still have to call and ask. I went and checked out Planet Fitness - no childcare at all! That place is better for people who can go without kids, or have no kids. I was a member at one point at Stan Bennett in RP. I was young, and felt like it was a meat market. becky 04-29-2007, 01:34 PM i have been dieing to try post-partum yoga classes but right now its out of my budget. If i can manage to get shelsea on a regular nap schedule then i can start P90 again. It rocks and i got into great shape really fast. I have been walking once a week but i really need to bump it up. The MOMS Club is going to be walking once a week and that combined with SCM wed walks and me adding a Friday walk i will be getting some exercise in but i still want to add the strength training. LMS 04-29-2007, 03:51 PM I've been working out like a mad woman the last week... i have a membership at curves that i'm bound and determined to start using again. barb 04-30-2007, 09:44 AM I work out at the gym on base. It's not ideal because it doesn't have amenities, but it's less than 1/4 miles away from home. :D I go between 5:30 and 6 in the morning when dh is still home and sleeping. :D |
