OMGosh :cuss , really, why the hell wouldn't these be tested BEFORE going out to be sold? What part of lead = bad do some companies just not get??? Bugs the crap out of me... grrrrr :soapbox

Good to know....I can't believe this wasn't caught BEFORE being shipped out.

Someone should post this in the recalls thread too!!! Or maybe we should move this one over there??? Not sure, just thought I would put that out there.

The way I read it it is to be expected that vinyl bibs would/could contain some lead (as a stabilizer and to make them softer) and that these just have "too much"

and
"Lead, used as a stabilizer in vinyl plastic, can be "easily substituted" for other products, Engelman said. She said the bibs' manufacturing tags show they were made in China."***

And that is why we use cloth bibs when we use bibs at all. I like to avoid plastic and PVC and all its relatives whenever possible.
