I had my eyebrows waxed yesterday. This time it seemed more painful than usual. today the skin around my eyebrows still hurt, very much like a sunburn. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Salina has had them done several times and never had that happen. Hers are always just fine the next day. Maybe the lady used super sticky wax that pulled off a couple of layers of skin? Was it your regular person?

Was the wax hotter than usual? Are you using any new skincare products?

The treatment itself seemed to hurt more than it has in the past. No this is not my regular person, I have not had a regular person for several years and moves.

The wax did not seem hotter than usual, and I am not using any new skin care products. When it was over, there were a couple little tiny dots of blood starting to surface. It has been about 24 hours.

do you think she may have burnt me?

You definitely can be more sensitive at times than others. I have been waxed when the wax was a little hotter than normal and caused some senstivity/irritation. The reason I asked about the products is because alot of them like retinols etc can cause the skin to come off when being waxed. My brows stay red and a little sensitive for a day or so afterwards and sometimes even look dry and flaky.

It sort of sounds like a burn or maybe just irritated. This happened to me when I had mine done right after showering. I flew out of the house because I was late. So there was no oil or anything on my face. I got small pimples and it was really bad for like 3 days. Now I always go at the end of the day when I'm all oily and no problems. I haven't done it in a long time though because I can't stand not plucking. I need to get a good shape though.

Does anyone know about permanent eyeliner? I'm starting to look into it.

My girlfirend just got the permanent eyeliner and LOVES it. It looks really nice. It is very subtle but at the same time, makes her eyes POP.

I would love to get permanent eyeliner but I have a huge phobia about eyeballs and anything sharp near my eyes, so I would have to unconcious to get it done :lol

It is a tatoo, right? I wonder if they show you what it would look like before they do it? What if the person sneezed in the middle of it? :D

It is a tattoo and I don't know the exact process for makeup tattoos but when you get a regular tattoo, they do a stencil so you can see what it will look like. I guess if they sneeze you get a teardrop under your eye or something :lol

I know that my skin has been extra sensitive around Aunt Flo and also when I was using different skin cleansers...

Did it hurt? Where did she get it done? I'm sort of scared and making my mom get it done first. But I would really like to get it done.

if they go over the same area more than once then that could be the problem too.

So reading more about it--it sounds like it takes forever to get done and touch-ups are basically required. It's not sounding so fun to me anymore. :(

She did just that. I am still a little sensitive today, but don't have the burning sensation like I did yesterday.

Thanks everyone.

i hope you are feeling better. your skin just has to heal and you should start feeling better. Each time an area is waxed a layer of skin is removed so if they went over the same area too many times, basically more than twice, then your skin will feel just as you described it.
