Digital Cameras

Ok, so I am getting a new digital camera, and am looking at a few. I think I've narrowed my decision down to 2 now.
The Olympus SP-350 8MP is one I am looking at, and one by Canon, called the Power Shot. It's 7.1 Megapixels.

It's funny, because no matter which camera I look at, and the reviews, there are always peope out there who LOVE it, and then there are those who don't. I guess its that way with any camera, though.

Do any of you have one of these cameras, or the brand? If so, how do you like it?

I am also in the market for a new one...I don't know much about them since I haven't researched fully yet, but one thing that I would look for is one that doesn't have a delay in taking the pictures. I have noticed now that Austin is more active, I miss a lot of the good shots.

I bought a canon powers shot about a month ago. I am just figuring it out, but I like it. One of the main reasons I ended up getting the canon is because I was having the same problem with missing pictures of Lucca. I was told that the canon has less of a delay so you can take them closer together and it doesn't take so long. The guy that sold it to me also said that there are high speed memory cards that will help with that problem also. I hope that all makes sense. I don't know all the correct terms for everything.

I forgot one thing. Unfotunately they will all have that delay, just the nature of digital. I don't know if the professional ones are like that or not. Jackie would probably know.

I really like my canon. I got the 5.0 megapixel. I was gonna get the 7.1, but the salesman said to save my money, because I don't do alot of really up close shots and also I don't print 8.5X11 I was told that was where the difference would really be noticeable. I am just getting used to the camera. The one you are looking at and mine have the same features I think just the pixel difference. Anyways I like it. There are so many cool features. I replaced a Sony that I broke and the canon does so much more that the sony did.

I don't have either of the ones you are looking at. My parents got me the Kodak Easy Share Z740 with docking station for christmas. I am just getting use to using it but what I really like is that it has a zoom so you can do close ups. Plus with the Kodak software that came with the docking station you can do everything thru your computer. It makes it super easy to upload, email and print here at home. I have a lot of people who don't live in the area (like 2 sets of Sevannah's great grandparents) and they have email so I email them pics. It's so much easy with the Kodak software because when you open the email the picture is right there. No downloading and saving to your computer first. Plus the email gives instructions on how to save it if they want to.

It reall all comes down to what you think you'll be doing most with your camera. I'm sure Jackie would be the most knowledgable though... after all it's what she does! :) Good luck making your decision.

yeah, deffinatly get a high speed camera card. I love mine. it makes a huge difference.

Ooh, so I got my camera ordered today! YAY! I should get it on Tuesday! :D
I bought the Sony Cybershot V3. I've read lots of great stuff about it, and it has tons of great features, too! :D I'm sooooo excited! LOL!
