Anyone have a good add-in recipe for BBQ burgers?

I like to add worstechire (sp?) sauce and shredded cheese.

You could add a suprize to the hamburgers.
Take cheese or something and form the hamburger around it.
That way when you take a bite, you get a suprize of what ever you put in it.

I've done a really good one like this using bacon, butter, and gorgonzola cheese! Yumm... I think I'll add that to next week's menu.

We do this too but also add garlic salt or Lipton's onion soup mix, not both, too salty.

we "amp" up our basic burgers by mixing a combination of:

lawrey's season salt
ground black pepper
garlic
onion powder (I have a texture aversion to onion chunks)
and for some kick.. add a little Frank's hot sauce..

mix well and form into your patties.. throw them on the grill.. we like jack cheese melted on top...

I like that mystery cheese in the middle.. might be yummy to try with mushrooms as well..

We make a pesto sauce - mix armanino's pesto with mayo - and put it on the burgers instead of ketchup etc. Or chipotle sauce!

For everyday burgers I just add worchesteshire sauce and montreal steak seasoning in the burger, top with BBQ sauce after you flip once. Then top with chedder cheese and bacon. We had those last night...yummy!!

For 'fancy' burgers I copy the pesto bruschetta burger from applebees. I top the cooked burger with mozarella cheese & pesto on one side, bruschetta (tomatoes, garlic, basil & olive oil) on the other. Serve on foccacia rolls. They are super messy but the best burger!!

Mmmm... the commercials for that burger look so good! I'll have to try doing it at home too.
