You go on an inflatable slip and slide (so soft on the belly as you slide) 5 or so times and wake up the next morning with your abs sore like you have recently given birth :bag.

View Full Version : You know you are out of shape when My3sonsplus1 05-28-2007, 11:06 AM You go on an inflatable slip and slide (so soft on the belly as you slide) 5 or so times and wake up the next morning with your abs sore like you have recently given birth :bag. Lorah 05-28-2007, 11:34 AM LOL! That is funny!!! So, how was the slip and slide, Lisa? I'm guessing that is what you did yesterday, Ay? becky 05-28-2007, 12:34 PM that is funny Lisa...sorry it made me giggle. I have never been on a slip and slide before so I don't know that i could give you a work out LOL Lorah 05-28-2007, 12:43 PM OH MY Becky, you NEED to try it!!! I'd suggest putting it on soft ground though.....I think good thing grass would be good. I did it a few years back....I had a blast....a few of my friends did it after the kids were done. becky 05-28-2007, 12:51 PM well i have grass in my back yard :) sounds like fun. I might have to do that too (invite some friends over to slip and slide) LOL Lynette 05-28-2007, 03:31 PM LOL! Don't those have warnings all over them saying you shouldn't go on them if you are older than 10years old??? :D Lorah 05-28-2007, 03:49 PM dude I am 10!!!! at heart!!!!! lol! My3sonsplus1 05-28-2007, 04:26 PM no 12 Lynette, 5-12 :D! And it is an inflatable one silly. Talk about the wrong person using it though, it is dh's new toy! He thought the boys would like it, uh yeah... they don't have the slide/dive concept at all. We should've gotten the sprinkler LOL It has a little kiddie pool at the end though so it is just a fairly expensive wading pool. This is the one we have: http://www.wham-o.com/default.cfm?page=ViewProducts&ProductID=16&Category=1 notice the extra comfortable extra safe part :lol It owuld make a good addition to a waterpark ;) dh is ready to go play now :lol! Lorah 05-28-2007, 04:36 PM That looks like A LOT OF FUN!!! becky 05-28-2007, 05:11 PM that looks like fun. where did you set up yours? in the front yard or the back yard? meeg124 05-28-2007, 05:30 PM I used to love slip and slides... they are the best! Until you that big boulder in the grass OUCH! My3sonsplus1 05-28-2007, 06:25 PM that is why we got the inflatable one :) no tummy bruises, well until you hit the end. Becky-The backyard (Kevin mowed the grass finally), yeah think the parents are going to SNS in the front yard while the kids run down the street ;) that and I don't 2 peice for the neighbors :lol We can have a SR (tame!) waterpark playdate, whenever the RP one is closed :) Lynette 05-28-2007, 07:43 PM I dunno how real the "danger" is but the reason they put age limits on there is because a guy broke his neck on one. I think the issue is the inertia of an adult combined with our harder bones or something?? Although, I can't help but wonder if the guy who broke his neck was loaded or something ;) My3sonsplus1 05-28-2007, 07:52 PM Yeah I had to tell dh he can't go full bore down the thing. I have never done SNS before but he could easily sent himself off the other side the big dork. Yeah perhaps if they specify under 12 they help to weed out the people trying to use them while intoxicated including intoxicated teenagers who think they are invincible anyhow. He also weighs twice the weight limit :bag. He hasn't popped the thing yet so I will go with the inertia issue on the weight limit... I have a hard time telling dh "no" when it comes to excercise(ish) related "toys". Anything that encourages him, and the boys as well, to get moving is pretty fair game in my book most of the time. |
