Free yearly credit report

By law you are allowed one free yearly credit report from all three credit agencies. Here is the link to the free site:

I've used the site. I think it's great.
It certainly has helped me.
I appealed to the 3 agencies to have medical stuff removed. All 3 removed it and sent me a new credit report showing it was removed, for free.

I am overdue, I have not gotten mine for about 19 months now. Procrastinating I guess.

FYI, it's one report per agency per year so if you wanted to you could just request one now, one in 3 more months, 6 mo, 9mo and then you'll be back around to the first one next year. It's way cheaper than those monitoring agencies if you want to keep on top of your credit.

yeah, everyone should go do this. We are in the middle of a credit mess right now. Since JR is obviously a junior, he gets some cross over stuff on his report from his dad which requires dozens of phone calls, letters, etc to get it sorted back out. Jr didn't do the yearly one like he could have, so we didn't know he had a $2,400 car loan of his fathers that had gone to collections and had been added to JR's report instead of his dads. UGH.
So now we are fighting it and having to pay extra for that constant monitoring.
It's worth it to just take the 2 minutes and get the freebie whenever you can.

That was not good for us. All 3 had different things showing up.
Like, PG&E from Dan's old place, before we met, only showed up on Experian, and not the other 2.
