Does anyone know if there is a place in town that sells sticker photo paper so that you can make your own stickers using your photos? I found a new product by 3M yesterday (the company that makes post-its) at office depot called "Sticky picture paper". It has two adhesive strips on the back so you can stick photos up wherever you want. Haven't tried it yet but it only comes in 4x6 sheets. I really want 8.5 x 11 sheets to do photo stickers of the new baby for the announcements when s/he gets here. I made my own announcements to match the theme of the baby's room and I wanted to do a photo sticker to put on the inside opposite the name and stuff. Any help would be appreciated! :)

Okay.... just tried the 3M stuff... not great :( Works okay for 4x6 photos it's regular paper so it doesn't look like a photo and I can't get my photo program to print wallets on the 4x6 sheet. I want the pic in the announcements to look like a "real" photo.
well, i dunno about products that you can buy to print them, but what size are you thinking you want the stickers?
oh wait! JR used to have this stuff I used for Christmas Labels.... Lemmi see if i can find it online. it's NOT by 3M but it's the size of printer paper and the entier thing is one giant sticker, so you print a bunch on it then cut it out.
If you're looking for smaller sized stickers, Unique Products (online) does them for moderatly cheap and so does walmart/walgreens/etc (like 4$ for 20 of them i think)
anna, rereading your post, here's what i would suggestion. Go to the craft store and buy the Glue Dot Minis, then you can order wallet sized photos online (I can even give my printers prices if you want me to ;) and they die-cut the edges round - plus their wallets come in 2 sizes...8 per sheet or 4 per sheet) then you can just use the glue dots to hook the pic into the announcement.
PM me if you wanna try it...
Plus their shipping is SUPER fast so you can get the wallets back quick to send out the announcements early.

There is also the photo mounting double sided tape that doesn't harm the photo. You can get it at Michael's or Joanne's. Mine comes in a blue box and is like only 2 bucks.

oooh! I remember seeing that too. That'll probably be better than the glue dots. They tend to tear up the paper (not the photo, but the announcement in this case) when you take the photo off.

HI Anna- I am not clear on your goal, do you want them to be able to remove the picture to keep as a wallet or just to be able to include a picture on your already designed cards so "all you have to do to finish them is stick the photo sticker on"?. I like what I am interpreting from the responses of having a photo that is stuck on lightly that can then but taken off to use as a wallet too if the recipient chooses. I think that makes it more versitile for the recipent, that way they can remove the photo if they want or keep it in the announcement w/o destryongin the announcemnt trying to get a picture of the baby .

Great suggestions ladies! I did find a product by Avery that is high glossy photo sticker sheets that you can print any size pic on... I am waiting for them to get back to me about who in the area carries it. But I was thinking after I posted this that if I "stickered" the photo you couldn't easily take it out of the announcement which makes almost zero sense! :) Crazy prego brain is a little slow these days! I have used the double sided photo tape before on other projects... don't know why I didn't think of it. :doh Well, thanks for the help and I guess I just need to make a couple trial ones and see which I like best! :D

Still haven't figured out what I am going to do but Avery did email back where I could try and find their product (which is High Gloss Photo Sticker Pages 8 1/2 x 11) So I thought I would share that info with y'all in case anyone else ever wanted to use it for a project.
We suggest the following dealer(s) and/or distributor(s) as possible
references for this or a similar product:
Ellsworth Stationery (West Coast) 1-800-765-4031
And the product number is "Avery 53240 - Photo Series Glossy Photo Stickers"
ooh, cool, thanks. Something new to play with. Hhaha
