So, Maverick's birthday is coming up soon. I am starting to plan a birthday park playdate for it. I just figured that since I know so many people it would be easiest to do a playdate type party and just have everyone bring their own lunch and I will bring cake.

BUT, I need to figure out where to have it. Being we are new to the whole park thing we have not been to many parks. I want one with a bathroom, baby swings, big swings, slides for little and big kids, and a nice (safe) grassy area to sit with blankets that also has a picnic table.

I like Howarth, it's probably my #1 choice at the moment.

But I am open to all the suggestions you have!!!!

Sooooo......are there any parks that you would strongly suggest? Ones that your kids LOVE! Ones that you really love! Ones without bees of any kind.

Let me know... Obviously everyone on here will be welcome to come and play.... so I'll post an actual birthday playdate thing later.....

All park suggestions welcome!!!!

Becky: Ya I thought of that one, but it's a little bit of a drive for us. Not that it's that bad though....I'll keep it in mind.

Is there a playground at Finley? I have only been to a conference there in their business building. I know there is also a pool there too. Is the park near either of those two places?

Well, you know me, I'm going to say the one in Cotati.

You might also take into consideration if there is a fee for the park. That is if you want the space reserved, so no one else will be there.
You might want to check out the City websites on park info.

I would say Howarth for all the different places people are coming from and since it seems to be your fav! Not sure when the water turns off, but I kind of think around Labor Day.

the only down side to that park is for mom's like me who has a active tot (or more than one child to look after) the park really is just too big and you wouldn't see me at the party cuz i would be running after Myah.

I'd be right there with ya on the running around....Mav doesn't stay in one place unless I put him in the swings....heheheeh he moves too fast for me sometimes!!! :)

I wouldn't be at the party either. V wants to explore unless I give her cherrios, then she will sit.

Okay, thank you everyone for the input. I think we will probably do it at Howarth. I know that means some of you won'tbe able to come. I'M SORRY! I just needed to think about the "big picture" (i.e. not too far from everyone and us, bathrooms, enough stuff for little babies and toddlers to do, shade, no bees, parking, easy access, etc.).

I will create a seperate post once I make the actual invite and figure out what time. Stay Tuned! :)
