Just wondering what are you favorite sites to get kid's clothes? For some reason I am in serious denial Alaina is a 3T since she has been in shorts or dresses/skirts all summer but now her 2T stuff look like floods and bare midriff shirts :) Thanks!

I like Old Navy... always $5 shipping and you can return to the store if it doesn't work out. www.oldnavy.com

A Children's Place website is okay, it's kind of a pain to navigate but they have cute boys clothes, so I'm assuming they have cute girls clothes too :) I'm not sure about their return policy though.

Ok, that's just not funny! :giggle

I actually placed an order with Children's Place last night, their stuff was like $7 for some shirts and pants, I just don't always like their graphic tees and they have a lot of them. I did get some leopard print stuff though :D

After Sara's post about the tulip dress for Mia I was looking around at the Gymbo clothes but there were just soooooo many I didn't know where to start? It was like I had to know exactly what I was looking for and I didn't so I gave up :bag

Since Alaina will probably be starting preschool, I would get some clothes that you don't mind getting messy and she can run around in, on the playground. Also, clothes that she can get on/off by herself, for going potty, etc at school. Caden still can't do snap or buttons, so I try to buy shorts and pants for him that are pull up or at least have snaps that he can undo. My personal goal for clothes for Caden, is to have enough that I won't have to do laundry for two weeks. Thanks to grandma, I could probably go a month though. :lol

We usually go to Carters outlet, Gymboree or the Gap outlet. If we want daycare clothes that we dont care about then we go to Kohls. They usually have a 5 for $20 on cotton shirts and pants.

Yeah, I was reading about that and getting the clothes off by herself in some of the paperwork I got although she does have the bonus of being able to wear dresses too :D Oh man, *I* had enough clothes to last me 2 weeks, I feel like I am constantly doing laundry although I am sure that is just because I don't like it ;)

I would say the "daycare" clothes that I don't mind getting ruined (which they've actually held up pretty well).. we go to Kohls or Mervyns.. But I do really like the Oshkosh outlet, Gap OUtlet, Old Navy, and Carters for my top picks...

Alessa has clothes that fit and range from 18-24 mos.. .up to 3T for some shirts.. it's crazy...

So did you settle on a preschool?

You know what I do? I find a collection that I really like and search for that. Gymboree names all their collections. For instance, I fell in love with last years Autumn Highlands collection, so I searched for "Gymboree Autumn Highlands 18-24m" on ebay and that narrowed it down a lot. You kind of have to know Gymboree's inventory pretty well beforehand. If you shop around on Gymboree's website, wait a few months, then scour ebay, you can find some great deals. It seems like a lot of work, but you're getting things at like half price.

I've actually never been in Gymboree or CP yet. Caty's clothes are mostly old navy and target. I just went into kohl's for the first time last week and I will probably go back soon. We have daycare clothes too. She's in 3T tops and in the middle of 2/3T pants so she's in lots of highwaters right now. I haven't thought of looking at ebay either. The Pumpkin Patch clothes are really cute, but Caty would have them ruined so fast.

Amy- as of right now, I am pretty sure it will be the Montessori school in Cotati but I am going to check out a couple more next week. I hear you on the range of clothes, I noticed one of Alaina's pairs of shorts was getting small around the waist and it was 18mo. She is pretty long and skinny but oops!

Lindsay- that is exactly the problem, I don't know the line names and looking at them all one by one was taking forever. I guess I should check them out on their site and see if I like them and then stake out eBay :D

Theresa- Yeah, Alaina's are usually Old Navy or Target too but this last week at Target I didn't see anything I liked and Old Navy also seems to be feast or famine sometimes. Pretty much anything I buy other than special event stuff I am resigned to knowing it will be throughly worn and used so I don't worry too much about stains and stuff really but just stay away from things that would get wrecked sooner rather than later.....or *try* to anyways! LOL!

I have to say.....I am lucky....the only things I have actually purchaced for Mav were 1 pair of shorts, 1 button up hawaiian shirt (both those from Wee Three), and a package of onsies from Target. Everything else we got from grandparents and as hand-me-downs....or as loaner stuff from friends who have younger kids.

I need to learn how to shop for him though cause soon we will have run out of all the free-bes....

This was a good question Lynette! I'm getting good ideas too. :)

I find the it the same with Target and Old Navy about not finding stuff. It can be so frustrating at times, but I never seem to NEED anything for her. So I just take it as a sign that I didn't need to buy anything that day.

I'll check out the crazy8 one. Thanks!
