People often joke about how their husbands vanish during football season.
Now that it's that time of year, are you there??

View Full Version : Are you single during football season? LMS 09-09-2007, 05:49 PM People often joke about how their husbands vanish during football season. Now that it's that time of year, are you there?? Luckylove 09-09-2007, 05:53 PM I would be but Dustin works on Sunday's. Its kind of sad really. He is a HUGE sports guy. After 2 years of working on me I finally said yes to a big screen TV. We got it in the summer a few years ago and then they changed his shift right as football season started to Sundays-Wednesdays. He was so crushed. jellybeanmichelle 09-09-2007, 05:59 PM Can I answer all 3? I voted yes. He will disappear for some games. Some games I watch, especially the superbowl - just for the commercials. And sometimes I hate it. Either, not in the mood, or thinking Dan and I could be doing something better than watching football. I think I will loose him during the World Cup Soccer games though. That is another story in this house. Brookepanda 09-09-2007, 06:31 PM My dh is not into sports except for golf....and that is a real snooze fest to watch if you ask me!!! meeg124 09-09-2007, 07:25 PM Scott really likes football but he gets so involved that he can't watch it without having a complete conniption! We're Raider fans and I haven't been able to watch more than 10 minutes of a Raider game since we've been together, becuase I'm always worried that I will have to take Scott to the ER... even if they are playing well! MARIBEL 09-09-2007, 07:57 PM I'm one of the lucky ones my husbando doesn't like sports yay!!!! becky 09-09-2007, 10:07 PM Maribel, I guess both our victor's are the same LOL mine will occasionally watch Basketball but really his is a surf guy and will watch that daily on the FUEL Channel and that is when i'm not around. KaisaG 09-10-2007, 07:14 AM We're more basketball people ;) Lorah 09-10-2007, 10:28 AM THank GOD Travis is not into that stuff.... He actually LOVES his video games (THE GEEK!) so at night I have to pry him away from it if I want to even speak to him..... He use to swim....but not lately.... he is not really a sports guy...he wants to get into golf though.... Sara 09-10-2007, 10:56 AM You forgot answer D) Do you watch football more than him That would be me, well he likes to watch the niners too and we make a big deal on sunday with our 'football snack'. He just gets bored and does other things while I finish watching the game :) justamom 09-10-2007, 06:52 PM No my husband does not watch football. He is from England and is more into Soccer or Futbol! He does tend to disappear off to work a lot though, lol. TaivensMama 09-10-2007, 08:07 PM My dh is very into the Chargers but he only dissapears on sundays, and NO I do NOT watch with him, although eh says he wishes I liked sports they bore me beyond comprehension! He is at opening day for the 49er's today because he got free tickets...normally he wouldn't bother going to a 9er's game but he said opening day is fun no matter what team is playing and believe me, I didn't mind a quiete night with him out "playing" LessasLashes 09-10-2007, 11:43 PM No, thank goodness... I am more likely to get glued watching figure skating or gymnastics competitions.. Now put on court TV and a forensics show or the history channel (Modern Marvels).. and he won't be seen for a while Stacey 09-11-2007, 08:18 AM My dh is very into the Chargers but he only dissapears on sundays, and NO I do NOT watch with him, although eh says he wishes I liked sports they bore me beyond comprehension! Go 9er's!!! That's awsome that he was at last nights game. It was a great finish. We woke Jackson up with all the yelling :bag khanson 09-11-2007, 09:51 AM I too am one of the lucky ones. Will hates watching sports on TV, so no, I'm not a football widow!!! Like Amy though, I do love watching gymnastics or ice skating. Will hates it though so he usually does something else if I'm pretty adamant about watching it. Sara 09-11-2007, 09:51 AM Yay! Go 9er's!!! That's awsome that he was at last nights game. It was a great finish. We woke Jackson up with all the yelling :bag So did we :) The dogs run around and bark when we cheer and woke Mia up!!! Great game last night though, well, at least the last 2 minutes were great ;) Lindsay 09-11-2007, 02:13 PM We usually watch the games together. I'm semi- into football. In that I sort of understand the game and can tolerate watching one now and then. But I would kri if he was into watching every single game. kristyann 09-11-2007, 08:52 PM I usually have to tell DH who's in the Super Bowl and I don't even watch football! :) |
