those are really cool.
I have been looking for something like that for Log for months and I just can't find them. You should think about offering for sale at one of the little kids store.

Kelly, do you ever think about teaching knitting, or having a knitting group? I'd love to brush-up on my sparse knitting skills:thumb

Well I am thinking about quiting my job and doing my knitting and sewing full time (well part time) and selling them. So I would have some time to put together a knitting group for help and what not.

Seasyn, Skyes hat is going to be a bucket style hat!! I am trying to design my own pattern for it. so hopefully it turns out cute as can be!

I also have started trying to knit. My Grandma taught me when I was really little, but I'm trying to start up again after not doing it for probably 20 yrs (gosh, I can't believe I can say that!). I started knitting what was supposed to be a blanket, but I haven't gotten very far, and I don't think I picked the best yarn to start back up with.

You know what is really easy and fun to start with, that is a quick knit? Wash cloth or dish cloth. Its not so long to knit and its something you can use. They have fun colors and only like $1.50 for a skein. you can probably get 2 wash cloths from one skein of yarn too.

Remember, I have crafts night every month and we are happy to teach knitting. So, just let me know if any of you want to be included in the evite. I have that pattern for those same hats if anyone needs it. I made one that was a tomato color with really quality yarn and it was sooooo cute on my niece.

it is easy to knit a hat? I've always wanted to try. I can sort of crochet (verrry basic stuff) but have never tried knitting.

Um, kind of. It's super easy for a knitter, but usually you use 4 double pointed needles, which might seem tricky to a beginner. My cousin does super cute kitty hats by just knitting a rectangle, folding it in half, and sewing up the sides. Then she makes the two corners into ears. That kind is really easy.

I have a few different patterns for the kitty hats. they are adorable!

Craft night! Count me in on that one. haha

yeah the double points are a bit tricky, its just learning how to deal with the other needles hanging around.

I am not a knitter.. (I have 3 left thumbs when it comes to knitting or sewing) But my BF is. So I know of a great knitting store that gives free lessons. It is in Windsor on the west side of the town green down the far west street past the cooking store and the scrapbook store. The lady who runs it is a SWEETHEART... and supper helpful

How cute! I can't get past the chain stitch and end up making really uneven scarves. I would love to learn!

I am trying to teach myself how to crochet. I Love so many of the patterns. I just am having issues turning! darn that crochet, its suppose to be easier then knitting

I have trouble turning too but have since developed my own trick that works. My mom always gets upset when she finds out I'm making up stitches though I don' know why lol

Georgias_mama

hahaha but isnt' that the best part! I mean, when you can make up your own stitches and patterns and it still looks good (at least to us. haha)

Ya i think so. The last blanket I make for Shelsea was all my own pattern and I think it turned out really well. I will bring it with me at the next craft night if you go. Its funny though when my mom asks "how did you do that?" and my only answer is, "i don't know...i just did" LOL

I so want go to the next craft night! I Need one badly.

the hat I am making for Skye is my own pattern. I just started to make it up as I went. I better write it down. Or I will forget it. hahaha and i really like how its turning out. I am nearly done. just a few more decreasing rows.

Hehehe..I know, I know I need to get that stuff on the calendar. I was thinking that this next month I would have them every Friday night since it is holiday season. That way if you have plans one week you can make it the next. Oh except, probably not the Friday after Thanksgiving. :) Look for a post in the next few min.
