Is there an easy way to tell when you are in a forum if it is private or not? Maybe this is a dumb question, but I don't usually know if I am responding inside a private forum or not. I have seen that forums are private by going in the forum menu and reading the text, but am I missing something? It would be cool if there was a distinction in the title format for the forums depending on whether they are private or not. (bold vs gray for example)

If you look at the bar (white box) on top that says the name of the fourm and explains what should be in the forum there is a word that has an asterick that says if it is public, private, etc.

But what about when I click on New Posts. When I select one, I don't seem to know if it is a private or public one. I think if on that page if the titles were a different color then I would know if what I am writing is private or not. Anyway, if this is unimportant I can drop it. :)

I think you're missing what Sara is saying. If you scroll up when you open a post you will see a white box under the menu bar. The one in this particular post says "Help Desk If you were unable to find an answer to your questions in our FAQs, feel free to ask here! Jackie will answer ASAP *public" so since there was a * and it says public then it is! Does that make sense?

When you're creating a new thread when you click on forums there is an explanation of the forum and I believe there is the same * thing at the end.

You can't tell from looking at the new post list, but if you click on the post, and before you add your reply, you can tell by looking up at the top of the thread (does that make sense, like at the top of this page it says *public so I know everyone can see my reply before I post it?). I don't think Jackie can change the thread title to reflect the status, since there are more than 2 options and it might confuse people. I will let her reply to that though.
