I tried a few different book swapping sites online, but they all fizzled out :( Last week, someone told me about one that actually has a hee-yuge selection of books -- I've sent out three books so far, and have eight on their way to me. And half of them are harder-to-find out-of-print frontier/pioneer histories that I'm addicted to (they'd cost a bunch on Amazon!). Three are hardcovers.

It's at paperbackswap.com (http://www.paperbackswap.com/). But, warning -- it's like drugs to hardcore booklovers ;)

To start swapping, you have to list nine paperbacks (they do allow you to list hardcovers, but of course those'll cost you more to mail). Then you get three free points, each being worth one book (audiobooks "cost" two points). You find books you like, submit a request, and a few days later the book should be on its way to you. When you receive it, the sender gets a point, as you do for mailing out any of the books you've listed.

I can't believe how addicted I am after just a few days :love
