Anyone know of any good Massae Therapists who are reasonably priced? Or any nice (but not overpriced) spas/salons who might offer Massage? I completely wrenched my back today on top of my neck injury from a week ago and I can't hardly move. Can't even pick Brendan up. I need to get an appointment for this weekend.

Ana: where did you used to work? Have you ever heard of Collier Massage in Coddingtown Plaza? What have you heard about them?

Jackie: haven't heard of the place in Coddingtown. And as far as not over priced... good luck! It's getting pretty bad here in Sonoma County. They have even raised the prices where I was working in Sebastopol. How much do want to spend? Do you want swedish or deep tissue? Do want an hour or a 90 minute? I know... lots of options. Another therapist I worked with in Sebastopol is now doing stuff on his own. GIves a great massage... not sure what's he's charging but he does out-calls (meaning he'd come to your place bringing his table and everything needed to do the massage at your house). Or if you'd rather have someone you know come to your house I would be happy to work something out with you (couldn't do something this weekend though... but in the future when Jazper is a couple weeks older) Let me know what you think. Sorry you hurt your back! :(

for starters, i'm SOOO going to take you up on a massage some time. LOL. In the meantime I need to find something this weekend... PREFEREABLY less than 70$ for 1 hour... i've found two places (the one previously mentioned and a lady named Debbie Fisher in Petaluma). I'll probably need some DT on my back since it's so screwed up. I can hardly stand. I'm confined to this big comfy chair, the couch or the bed. JR had to lift me out of the car earlier. :( I can't even THINK about picking up Brendan. If there's someone who comes to your home, that's awesome... I have my own table and chair and sheets/face covers etc... the only thing i don't have is creme or lotion :(

and btw: I have NO idea what was going on with the post you tried to make earlier. I checked all my moderation queues and there is nothing anywhere. :(

Probably!! LOL I paged him so just waiting to hear back. The place we both worked at in Sebastopol was New Dawn Day Spa. a one hour swedish is $72 and an hour deep tissue is $79. I have found that when my neck or sciatic nerve act up I just head on over to the mall and visit the Sharper Image store. I sit in there Shiatzu massage chair. It never fails to work for me! Otherwise I highly recommend you stretch every muscle in every direction. Good luck, sorry about the delayed response.

Thanks for the tips Tina. I'm a Massage Therapist myself and have found in the past that the only way to fix kinks I have is a full body massage :( I think it comes from while I was in school.... we did clinicals every other day so I got 2 1hour massages every monday, wednesday and friday. I think my body got used to it. I do need one of those massage chairs for my living room though. Good preventative care!

When a family friend was going to school for massage therapy she used us all the time to get her required hours. Oh that was great! Even Salina was all for it and still loves them, she wants to go to a spa for her 13th b-day in June! LOL!
