Looks Great! I have not yet begun to digital scrapbook, how does it work? Do you have to buy the backgrounds and embelishments, or provide your own? Does the company print it or do you? I would love to learn more!!!

???
The backgrounds and stuff you can get some freebies, some to pay. But you have to "provide" all of yours.. it's all digital, so, i mean, it's not like someone else puts it together for you.
I'm not sure what you mean by "the company"???? The site that is hosted on is just a website where you can share Layouts (digital or physical layouts, whetever) for scrapbooking fans. You would have to print it yourself as you make it yourself, etc. It's just like designing something in photoshop - it's all on your own.

I am sorry, I forgot to add how cute the Halloween page you created was. I really like it!

The only digital scrapbooking that I was aware of are a couple of direct sales companies (one of them is Heritage Makers), and one other company that is not a direct sales. These company's print your photo pages in a hard cover bound book. That is what I meant by a company printing it for you. I assumed from my very limited experience that the website that had the watermark on your page provided some tools or templates, and possibly offered to print your completed pages for you. I guess I just misunderstood what the site was. My experience is very limited, lol, as far as digital scrapbooking. I do, however, realize that someone else does not put it together/design it for you.

I have a few more questions if you don't mind :):
*Do you need a program like Adobe to create scrapbook pages?
*When you scrapbook digitally what paper do you print on?
*Do you have to use a special printer if you want to create 12" x 12" pages, or to ensure the scrapbook pages last (acid & lignin free)?

Thanks for taking the time to educate me a bit, I am new to this! :thumb

ooooh, i get what you mean!
No, this isn't through like heritage makers or anything. You design individual pages through like photoshop or whatever image editing software you have, then you have.
Then you can have them printed through a printing company (like right onto photo paper, then trim them to the right size, and slip them into the plastic pages of a scrapbook) or you can use a company like HM and have them print one scrapbook Layout on each page of a book if you wanted to make a hard bound book.

You need *A* photo editing program, but photoshop/adobe isn't the only one you can use.

You can print it straight onto regular Lustre photo paper via a printing company (I know there is a company out there that prints 12x12, 8x8, etc, DS pages on SB paper so it's not shiney like photopaper, but I can't for the life of me remember their URL and they were very $$$ anyways)
No special printer. Acid & Lignin free papers and glues are only used to protect photographs. Overtime, acid based papers or adhesives will wear through the back white protective coating on photographs and cause discoloration and damage. Since you are printing the picture right onto the same page as everything (all as one "graphic" per se) there is no need for anything archival.
