Lily's Birth Announcement

So today I was messing around and realized that my mom (she left for FL today) is gone for TWO WEEKS. Then when she gets back she'll be here another 2 weeks before my dad comes. Then he's here until the baby comes - and my dad is NOT a "relax around the house" kinda person. So I figure I have a food four weeks left to be lazy, before he gets me busy and makes me walk 10 miles a day in hopes of it making the baby come :lol
So today I sat down and got her announcement done, half b/c I wanted to and half b/c I didn't know when else I'd have the chance.
This is actually set to match her bedding, so i'm obviously madly in love with it

Hey Jackie, did you make that yourself? Very cute! The style (font and background cursive with name) looks a lot like what I did for Gianni - of course his was blue and brown. I ordered his from Photo Affections. At least you got your done way in advance. I was so tired and in pain after the c-section I didn't get his birth announcements out until he was a month old!:tongue

yeah, i designed it myself. I sat here holding her quilt trying to match the colors to it (her quilt and bumper are polka dot just like the bottom, the bumper is striped like the top and the sheet is floral in those same colors)

I do a lot with that "lighter, bigger font behind the main font" on my scrapbooking pages. I'm not sold on using it for the weight/date/etc yet but this is just a mockup anyways and it was mostly to get the layout figured out and actually have the time to color-match the bedding. I'm sure I'll tinker with the font later

lol, actually, I just kind of picked random numbers. I think she'll be close to her brothers weight at 7lbs,. 10oz. I actually was putting in such random nrs that I almost put that she was 21.5 inches long then thought "damn that's a long baby for one that only weighs 6lbs" LOL

With my mom living with us, we are short one bedroom. Once she moves out, her room (the former playroom) will become brendans bedroom/playroom (b/c it's really big enough for both) and brendan's room will become her nursery. I think I posted a pic of her bedding from PBK once before though... let me look for it real fast
