A friend of mine here is turning in the final draft of her thesis (on tattoos and women and how they are perceived) tonight or tomorrow (can't remember which) and will be writing an article with her professor on this. She was also interviewed by the New York Times about it b/c she's done so much research on it recently. I can't WAIT to read this article. I know...kinda bold, right?? I think I've surprised a lot of people in my life with the size of it. Guess peole didn't realize I'm that brave??? I'm actually one of those weird types that loves the feeling of the tattoo. I'm pretty proud of my new piece!!! My DH got one too similar theme (Lions for D's Leo) and his is the same arm, same size but much more colorful and more to it. The first was just a pink star swirly thing that I got on my 18th birthday. Second and third were colorful sparrows, each with one of my kids' names under. Fourth was my ex fiance/daughter's father's lip print (which I plan on getting covered with a simple black star). Fifth is "mother" in Hebrew that I got for Mother's Day with my mom (she got the same thing). Sixth was cartoon faces of me and my ex fiance/daughter's father that I drew, that I'll eventually cover. And Seventh is a large one, of different candy and sweets that still needs to be finished.
