I have two shoots coming up in the next week or two and both families live in Sebastopol. I have only visited Rangle Ranch Park once last year and have gone to the Super Playground a couple times. I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a nice location. One family has specifically asked for something woodsie but at the moment I can only think of places like Anadel and Sugar Loaf on this side and then Armstrong.

Any ideas?

Wow, I have NO idea... but then, I don't know Sebastopol very well... Maybe there's an area around there that's like the creek at hidden valley park? That's *kinda* woodsy-ish... sorry I'm not any help! lol

There's a pretty cool bridge on part of the Joe Rodota trail. It's off of Green Valley Road and it's all covered with trees and there are grape vines off to one side. Just turn west on Green Valley Road off of the 116 and you should see the trail head on the right hand side. Ragel Ranch has some cool spots, too, but you have to take a hike down to them. You also have to pay to park in the lot, but you can always park across the street and walk in for free.

I usually use Ragle. If you follow the trails into the back there are some cool meadows with long long grass.

Ives can be fun...they have a great playground and some shaded areas for the traditionals.

If you go to Armstrong, bring your flash and your assistant with another one...it's super dark there right now!

I've never thought of the trail but that's a good idea!

thanks ladies. I never knew there was a trail, I might have to try that with the first family since its small. The second one is rather large so i will go check out Regal Ranch and Ives.

Mariah: thanks for the heads up about armstrong. I completely forgot how dark it gets in the main section of the forest.

Becky - When is your photo shoot? Our property is actually great for photo shoots. Lots of trees and rolling hills. We have 2 acres, but all of our neighbors also have land so everything just flows together. Do you want to come check it out? We are on Vine Hill off Guerneville Road.
