View Full Version : just a forewarning (desperate housewives)
I just want to put this warning out there about Desperate housewives tonight... especially for our pregnant and hormonal members. If you are really emotional/hormonal/easily upsetable, tonights DH episode may not be a good one to watch. It's very upsetting and has me on the brink of throwing up.
I won't give details, but it's bad and I could see it being particularly upsetting for our preggo mama's :(

Oh man, I'm not preggo, but I'm squeamish after having kids. I have to watch it anyway.

I thought something was going to happen to the little baby.
I only watched the last 15 minutes, so if someone wants to tell me why the lady with Cancer was freaking out in the end, you can PM me so not to spoil it for others.
Her family was at the old lady's house across the street in the basement, but when they went outside, the whole house was gone...

pisses me off there is no new episode...is that due to the writers strike or something????

i think so becasue they have already had the "skip a week" for a new episode.
I know a lot of times they take the month of december off, then restart in Jan...at least a good 3 weeks in-between. I think they said there were 11 Grey's Anatomy episodes done pre strike.

That was a crappy ending but not as bad as you made it seem Jackie. I thought someone was going to fly away or be impaled or something.
yes, this was the last episode before the writers strike.
The thought of those poor kids under all that rubble made me literally ill. IF they kill off Tom and the Kids, I don't know that I'll be able to watch next season. That may be more than I can handle.
you didn't think it was bad? OMG, I was literally shaking. Lynette's scream at the end when she realized her entire family had more than likely been killed.... WAY too emotional for me. I imagined JR and Brendan under that pile, not knowing if i'd have a family ever again... Too much for me. But I'm also at the hormonal end of my pregnancy, so take that for what it's worth.
Hey-they did impale the senator guy :(

Oh they wont kill them off. It will just be that they are buried and it takes a rescue crew to pull them out. I really don't see them killing the whole family off. IMO

i'm with jackie, if they kill them off then i will be too depressed to keep watching.
plus, depending on how long the writers strike lasts, i will most likely loose interest if the show is on a break for too long.
Yeah pretty bad...I think they are OK though :) Always a wishful thinker...
yeah, that was nuts. I thought from the beginning of the show it would be victor and edie (I want her gone)... but i never expected victor to die THAT way.
the only reason i think Tom will be dead (At the very least, just him) is b/c at the beginning they said "someone will lose a husband" (victor) "and everyone will lose a friend" (who???)

i think that the semator guy is dead and it is going ot look like carlos killed him, then there is a whole nother story line for ya!

jackie- the senator guy is the dead husband, he and gaby are stil married.

"and everyone will lose a friend" (who???) Gabrielle (for moving)

I know, that's why I said

Gabrielle (for moving)
but now that victor is dead (and i don't think they'll blame it on carlos.. I'd think it would be darn near impossible for a person to shove a steak like that completely through a body) and the truth never came out about the affair to the cops, do you really think she'll leave?

Maybe... Maybe they will want a new start? Maybe the friend they lose is Carlos since we didnt really see what happened to him? I guess we just have to wait and see...
I went on the DH message boards (some strange people there) and they are saying the husband is Victor and the friend is Tom...or could be Ida the old lady, but she really wasn't friends with everyone.
Lynette
12-02-2007, 11:15 PM
Yeah, I thought Ida was the one at first but I dunno that she would be classified as a friend to all them. Salina suggested Carlos is dead too and he would be a friend to everyone but much more to Gabi of course. I really don't think it is Tom, they have messed with Lynette's character too much and I think he resonates with lots of women as being their husbands, ya know? The storyline would be too upsetting. Maybe they meant Dana Delaney's husband is leaving now that she knows he cheated???
Ok, patience is not my strong suit obviously.

I think the husband is Victor because technically he is Gabby's husband. Maybe the friend was the cat?? JK!
Whos house was demolished? I didn't know if Lynette was screaming because that was her house or the house with the basement where her kids and Tom were.
Lynette

It was McClusky's house, the one with the basement

I really hope this writers strike doesn't have us waiting weeks!!
lynette: That's what I was thinking too about Carlos. I think Carlos and Tom both "qualify" as "everyones friend.... but I don't think Ida or Adam do. It's so hard to tell. I could definitely see it being carlos and as sad as i'd be (b/c I have a crush on him) I'd still watch. It's just if it's Tom/Family that I couldn't handle it.

OMG! I just watched it on ABC.com
I'm wondering if the "friend" is Mike, as he has to go off to drug rehab and ??? What about Julie? Or Katherine's daughter? I agree, I didn't expect to see Victor go that way.
I can't wait to see the next episode.

I'm not sure who the friend is, either. Kind of funny to watch that one woman get sucked up into the tornado :giggle
BUT, it is going to be awhile until we find out who the friend is. I read on CNN yesterday that they are holding off on airing the next episode until the strike is over. They want it to be the first episode of the newly written episodes after the strike. Who knows how long that will be!
