I dunno, he always seemed like he just *hoped* he was a part of the whole thing and the government went along with it so they had someone to put on trial. He sounds like a nut job.

If it makes you feel any better I seriously doubt he will last in prison for long...even felons are patriots.

I just can't believe that!! Well, hey good luck in prison buddy!! He won't last!!

Whatever! He's a total nut case and him thinking that he "won" and "america lost" b/c he didn't get the death penalty just shows how warped his mind is. I don't agree with the verdict... whether he was invovled or not. He "admitted" he was and that's all that matters. And him being able to show no remorse and can clap his hands on his own behalf as he leaves the court-room just shows me his not as mentally insane as is defense attorney would like us to believe. But despite all this... y'all are right... he won't last in the general population of any prison.

I watched the news, and apparently the prison he is going to, he'll pretty much be in solitary confinement 23 hours of the day, and the other hour will be in a confined yard. So none of the prisoners there ever come in contact with one another! He'll go crazy there! (hopefully), then again he's already a freaking nutso!!

Too bad... I think they should put him in with a general population. Why should our tax dollars pay to keep him in solitary confinement for the rest of his life? Just my opinion... So here's hoping he does goes nuts and offs himself!

yeah, but while in confinement he'll never get to enjoy the finer points of imprisonment... you know... like becoming someones bitch or being attacked with a homemade utensil.

the sad part is that he won't kill himself. In Islam if you are considered a martyr, you are praised after death and entire relgions can start around you. Plus they have their whole screwed up system of 1000 virgins or whatever it is when a martyr dies. The problem is, he's not qualified to be a martyr. I know this girl amber who is muslim, and this is how she explained it:

I wanted to make a note on here though about martyrdom. A person cannot be a suicide bomber (according to Islamic law) or even killed for that matter and be claimed a "martyr".. Martyrdom comes through WAR... It doesn't just come through a regular death if you know what I mean. A person has to have had to fight in a war OR suffered in a war environment, such as what is going on in Iraq. Don't get me wrong, I think all the deaths in Iraq are wrong (Iraqi's and American Soilders), but those who are fighting in that war and those who are dying in the war (the innocent as well) are the true martyrs.

Suicide Bombing is a sin and it is an unforgiveable sin according to Islam, hence this man would not have been considered a true Martyr...

I just thought I would post that because it seems that the media portrays Islam in so many bad ways.. Being a Martyr is a beautiful thing for a Muslim because it does ensure paradise, but there is MUCH more to being a martyr and the ones who did the 9/11 attacks are not considered true martyrs. It is a beautiful thing to fight for your religion but under proper circumstances...

...you are probably right that they [radical Islamic fundimentalists] will consider him a Martyr, as he himself said all that rubbish so they would kill him... so he would feel happy about dying (know what i mean?)... He isn't getting what he wants so I am sure he has lots on his mind right about now...

The fundamentalists like to twist things for their own liking and they brainwash people to think the way they do... but then so does the media, ya know? I am just here as merely a servant to help show the peacefulness that there really is..

There are two types of Martyrs btw.. Those who fight in a war and then those who those who have died being succumbed to certain types of ailments or calamities, not of their own making. The second group, although not recognized and treated as martyrs in this world, will receive rewards of martyrs in the Hereafter....

More on that second group in case anyone wants to know who they are...
Anyone who dies in a plague, one who dies of intestinal ailments, one who dies of drowning, one who dies under a collapsed building, one who dies in a fire, a woman who dies during child-birth, whoever dies while defending his own possessions is a martyr, and whoever dies fighting in order to defend his own family is also a martyr.

This is a more expensive prison as well. It costs us taxpayers roughly $38,000 a year to keep him there!!!!!

It's nice to have someone give a true, unaltered insight into the Islamic religiong b/c those of us who are not familiar with it are just fed what the media wants us to know. Those of use who are intelligent enough not to make judgements without accurate knowledge would never assume that the Islamic religion is bad or that it's followers are all terrorists. I think it's sad how many Americans actually except what the media says as an absolute truth. Thanks to your friend Jackie for shedding some light on the truth! :)

And he's even more twisted then if he thinks killing people and off-ing himself will make him a true martyr by the Islamic Religion!

jackie: And I love that you said he'll miss the finer points of being in a prison... b/c it's so true!

sandy: I can think of a million better ways to spend $38,000!

What a whacko, great prize you won there moron! You get to live in a cement closet for the rest of your life!

It seems sometimes the guards are almost as bad as the prisoners....here's hoping he gets the worst ones there are!

don't get me wrong. i have VERY mixed views on this. One part of my brain feels like ANYONE who was associated with 9/11 should be put to death - but then again, I also feel like when you watch him, don't you almost wonder if he really want it to look like he was a bigger part of it than he realyl was? Like he wants "credit" for it? I know, it sounds twisted... but i'm beginning to view him as a Terrorist Groupie of sorts.
