Free Movie Tickets.... Sort of

Just wanted to let you ladies know that the Blood Bank of the Redwoods is having a blood drive because they are SUPER low on blood right now. (I guess it's a winter thing). I donated today and when I was done, she said I get free movie tickets. I got poked in both arms because they had trouble getting a vein in my right arm, so she said she'd give me 2!!

I guess it's sorta an ongoing promo they do... and since they are low they are about to start advertising it.

So keep an eye out for a blood bank van. They also have a list of drives on their website here (http://www.bbr.org/upcoming.aspx)

Oh and sorry preggers... As you know you are not eligible :)

Needles don't bother me in the least so it didn't bother me!! Plus like I said I didn't find out I was getting tickets til the end LOL Blood is blood and they need it bad right now. I've got a fairly rare (12.5% of the population) type so I like to give it.... Heck it could be me someday that needs it!!

I've tried to say I don't want to donate while nursing and they got some 'manager' on the phone to tell me I am basically a bad human being for not wanting to donate while nursing......it makes me incredibly light headed when I donate.....I don't need to go donate and then faint when I come home and nurse Madelynn!!!!!!!

I told that man to stop calling me
his response "we CAN'T stop calling you the only way we'll stop is if you D.O.N.A.T.E. your blood"

I worked at the blood bank and they won't let you donate if you are pregnant, so that person was an idiot. And if you do go in and you can't donate for any reason, you still get the gift :)

I keep thinking about going in, so maybe this will be a good kick in the butt so I can get back there. I have no problems with needles so I should do it more often.

Yeah I am sure they look at nursing as a totally different "thing" from being pregnant... it never gets to me at all so I have no problem doing it.

If they would have got someone else on the phone with me I would have smooth hung up on them!!

Anyway I got my tickets... I can go to Roxy, Airport, Healdsburg... and all the other ones that are in that chain (can't think of the name right now..)
