View Full Version : Need a new headboard...

We noticed yesterday that there is a crack in the side of our bed, so we need to get a new head/footboard. Tonight we went to Levitz, Ashley, and Valley Furniture (RP) and couldn't find one darn thing that we liked. I don't want to go to Ikea, because I want our new headboard to last.
It seems like EVERY bed we looked at tonight is too dark to match our dresser... which is like pine. What is with that??
I looked on Craigslist but the only one I could find that I like is in the San Jose area, and I am not about to drive that far...
Here's a couple I like so you can get an idea what I am looking for... I'd like to find them local, new or used-- doesn't matter either way.

Where did you get the headboard originally Sara? Maybe they still carry it and she can go check.

It was a hand me down from my parents. I saw it at furniture 101 a long time ago, but they are closed down now, so I am no help!

Kaisa - I have the knotty pine queen set in our spare room. John doesn't want to get rid of just the bed though. You wouldn't be interested in the whole set would you? Queen bed, 1 nightstand, 1 tall dresser, and one long short dresser. I love this set and we had to move it to the spare room since we upgraded to a King.
I know what you mean about having a hard time finding matching pieces. We looked and looked for another nightstand.....but couldn't find anything.

Thanks for the offer but I *LOVE* our giant dresser, and we wouldn't have room for more... We got it from Bare Woods and stained it ourselves when we first got married. It has sentimental value to me.
Oh and the rest of you ARE perverts... LOL
