When Alaina's front teeth came in 10 months, they came through the gums with pits in the enamel, one on each tooth that takes up about a third of the tooth. At first the look like stains but you can see the are pits like the enamel is missing. Anyway, I always guessed they would be weaker there and given her obsession with biting things and sticking rocks in her mouth, I had hoped it wouldn't be so soon because today I looked in there and the bottom part of her tooth is chipped :(
She is not going to let a dentist look in her mouth willingly and putting her under really makes me nervous at this age but I know that is what the dentist will want to do to make the tooth stronger and at least seal up the places without enamel. Has anyone had a child put under for dental work?
