We just got into Dexter from Netflix. It's originally shown on Showtime and it is AWESOME! Anyone seen it? It's about a guy that works for the cops as a forensics expert but he moonlights as a serial killer - except he only goes after people that REALLY deserve it. I was a little scared when it started because I thought it was going to be too graphic, but it's really not. It's so good though - he goes after the same people we would if we could get away with it. I so recommend it!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the show. It is a little gory for my liking, but I still end up turning it on. I just bought DH the book that gives the background of the show.

Dexter is my 3rd favorite show of all time (#1 6 feet under, #2 Northern Exposure). I find all of the characters fascinating and I love that they challenge the idea of what is "good". Everything about that series is well done imo.

My mom is totally into this show and the books. She likes the weirdest stuff for an old lady :lol

So I just stayed up to finish the 2nd disc for Season 1 and I am totally hooked! Thanks so much for the recommendation! Do you know what season they are on right now? It says "unknown" for the release date of the 2nd season so is that what is playing now?

The second season aired Fall of 07. It was FANTASTIC!!!

We just started the last disc for season 1. Will's been getting up super early so we only have time to watch 1 :( I could so pull an all nighter watching all of them though :) We used to do that with Rescue Me :lol we watched it until 3am once :giggle
Can't wait till season 2 comes out :)

It looks like Season 2 is already done with but not on Netflix yet but it is on On Demand until sometime in March so I think I will sign up for Showtime, watch them all and then cancel it until season 3 comes out :D

I just saw a commercial last night - I guess Dexter is coming to CBS in a few weeks. I was suprised since it is kinda twisted - but they are bringing it to regular TV and not just showtime. They will probably start from the begining of Season 1 I would imagine?!?

I saw that too. I don't think in terms of gore that it is much worse than say Law and Order really but they would have to edit out the cursing and sexual stuff.
(How sad is that the the murder part would be acceptable but words and naked people are the parts that get censored? :rolleyes)
