OMG!

Today was Emanuel and I's 7th anniversary, and as I mentioned before we were going to The Melting Pot in Larkspur!! Let me tell you, it FAR surpassed my expectations. The atmosphere is *SO* romantic!! It's dimly lit, and looks like a cave on the inside (it's an old brick manufacturer)... we sat in "Lover's Lane." We started with some artichoke & cheese fondue, then had a salad, then we had this smorgasborg of lobster, pork, chicken, stuffed pasta, steak, shrimp, and vegetables. To finish it off we had chocolate fondue with caramel & pecans. We dipped strawberries, bananas, cheesecake, pound cake, brownie bites, marshmallows (rolled in graham crackers or Oreos), and rice crispie treats. That was BY FAR the most romantic, *BEST* dinner I have ever eaten out anywhere!! I highly recommend it to all of you... Even you Jackie cuz they have 'em in Texas too!! YUM!!! :stuffface

My mom just went there last week and said the same thing. Except she was with two of her female employees--so not so much on the romance part. Now I want to go.

Congratulations on your anniversary!

I've been there (when I was pregnant) it is totally awesome, but be prepared to be there for 2 plus hours...it is quite a culinary experience. The dessert part was my favorite :thumb

I LOVE that place! I just went there for my birthday in January and we got the artichoke and spinach fondue too. It was so freaking good. I crave it now. When we went a few months ago (when I could drink) we were VERY impressed with their wine list too. I love all the sauces to dip the meat and fish in. Mmmm. Now I want to go back. LOL

I have heard so many awesome things about this place! I really would love to try it or my birthday, but with the drive, and the time to spend there, it just wouldn't work out. :(

I think we will maybe try it for our anniversary.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! YAY!

Yeah we were there for just over 2 hours... + about an 1.5 hrs of driving it was a good amount of time for a date night. We have many options for free sitters, so that wasn't an issue for us. The dessert is awesome!! I highly recommend going for that alone!! For anyone that is considering going, be prepared to drop about $100 on dinner for both of you... that's of course w/o any alcoholic beverages.

Thanks everyone for all of the congratulatory wishes!!

Yeah, when we went...it was $86 per person :bag (and that was with me NOT drinking:mecry )...the booze really adds to the bill. We have some friends where, if we know we are going out with them, it's gonna be $$$

We must have gotten the same thing... Our bill was $99.13 and we left a $20 tip.

We went a couple times when we lived in Sacramento, and I still dream about the dessert fondue. Yummy!!!
