Today I went to Baby News and I got a chance to check out the Ergo carrier. I even put Shelsea on my back while she was sleeping and she didn't even wake up. It is so incredibly comfy. I have been using my Mai Tie carrier with Shelsea on my back but there is no way now I could ever go back. Now i just need to find a used Ergo or an great sale so I can get my hands on one.

I've heard really good things about those. I almost bought one when I had Eli, but alas, I didn't.

I LOVED mine...sorry, I'm holding on to it for the next baby. Honestly, I've never seen one on sale....I'd try for used or try to buy a new one...they're well worth their weight in gold!

Becky ... it's your lucky day...this sale shouldn't last long because Ergo doesn't allow their product to be on sale from what I have heard...so if you want it at this price you gotta hurry!!

I got an Ergo baby carrier and I LOVE it! Its better than anything else I have tried IMO. Madeline really likes it too, it really calms her down when she is in it. I bought mine at the Babywarehouse in Petaluma but paid full price. I know its pricey but its so worth it.

I don't have an ergo, but I did buy a babyhawk from this company and they have lower priced ergo carriers in their outlet shop section. They ship for free and I was really happy with my purchase.

i had thought about getting a baby hawk but after trying the ergo i am having serious second thoughts. i love all the fun choices in fabrics the baby hawk has. I checked out the link but they only have the blue :( and i so need a black. I will check though to see if they ever stock a dif color.

I had an ergo but sold it for a toddler sized patapum. You might consider on of those as well they are similar but come in two sizes. Also come in black ;)

I love love love my ergo, it's worth the investment! That's how I vacuum and do chores in the house, not to mention Coop loves to be in it!

How you put the kiddo on your back if you are alone?

you put them on your hip and ease them into a piggy back ride and then pull the straps on. you can also have them stand behind you on a couch/chair.. there are a few tutorial websites...

I found that I wasn't high waisted enough? I can't recall... I sold it like a year or more ago, well traded it for diapers... I think I had both an ergo and a patapum and since I was at the time "selling" the patapum through Natural Family Boutique I figured I should be promoting that one more and I needed diapers. Did you see they have a hawiaan print Ergo? http://lilbunz.com/store/WsDefault.asp?One=1206 If you end up going for full price. I also had an old style Ergo (4 plus years old perhaps even 6ish). I haven't tried a new generation one, I want to say they were designed for even taller people than the one I had...

I have friends who really like http://www.thebabywearer.com. It's a message board like this, and they have a for sale or trade section. It's also a good place to go to learn about different carriers. HTH!

great link. I have a moby and mei tai already but since shelsea is getting so big i am looking for something so its easier and more comfortable to carry her on my back.
