I am putting together a list of nearby parks with pros and cons, addresses, etc so if you have any that are really great or really terrible you can either post here with details or private message me and I will add it and share the whole thing when I am done :)

I already have all the Rohnert Park ones, Howarth, Bellevue, and Colgan in SR.

In SR there's also Bicentennial Park (where we did the picnic); Coffee Park (on corner of Coffee and Hopper)... I think if you go to the city website for SR you can get all the info on Parks. Let me know if you need help with the SR parks Lynette. I can look in the Parks & Recs guide that is mailed to all city residents. :)

here's the website from the city of SR that lists their parks and has maps of them:

The map that anna posted is great. I have printed out these for my new member packs for the MOMS Club of Santa Rosa. It lists all the parks in Santa Rosa. If anyone finds a list like this for Rohnert Park, please let me know.

Thanks!

Becky: I'm glad the map of SR parks is being helpful. Here's what I found online for RP parks.

Hope this is what you're looking for. It shows all the neighborhood parks in RP. And here's the RP Recs wed page that ahs links to other things like the pools and such.

Hi,

Not sure if you're still working on the parks list, since your post was a couple months ago, but the parks in Sebastopol include:

Ives Park - downtown, play structure and swings, city pool (outdoor, not sure what months it's open), picnic tables

Libby Park & the Super-playground - at the intersection of Pleasant Hill and Valentine (just 3 blocks from our house!), with 'regular' play structures, the huge 'super' play structure (with an area for toddlers), pond with ducks, and picnic areas

Ragle Ranch Regional Park - on Ragle Road, near the intersection with Valentine, play structures, lots of playing fields, paved and unpaved trails and walkways (paved ones are wide, so good for strollers and double strollers), blackberry picking, pay to park but can park on the streets nearby for free

Laguna Park is on the Santa Rosa side of Sebastopol and has play structures and a walking trail...not sure what else because we don't get over there very often

Sebastopol Plaza is nice for picnics, too!

We live right down the street from Howarth Park-which is great, but always SO crowded. AND, there are always ppl there that make me wonder WHY they are there. They have no child, but, are there to watch, creeps me out. Anyway, we stumbled upon a park on the other side of house-same distance as Howarth Park. Its Brush Creek Park. Its really nice, family orientated. We prefer it to Howarth Park.

Brush Creek park is off of Brush Creek Road. I can't remember the name of the road you turn on though. I love that park too. We drive all the way across town to go there. Part of it is fenced in and they have a water facet for the kids to play with. My water baby loves that.

Jackie-
The address for it is 1180 Brush Creek Rd. Santa Rosa

You may want to look up a map for it, because I am THE WORST person to give directions. ;) I could get you lost driving out of our parking lot. ;)

It has BBQ pits(good for birthdays!), picnic tables, a rock bed, two play structures, a B-ball court, two HUGE grassy areas, swings, some great shaded areas by the play structures for parents to sit, water faucet for kids to play with. Its just a really nice, quiet park.
